Vauxhall Vectra Alternator Replacement DIY

Hi guys,

I've replacement one or two alternators before on some of my previous vehicles and never really had trouble. Usually a one or two hour job max.

However, for some reason my Vectra 2.0 DTi is a little harder to get to in the conventional way. Has anyone else had any issues or advice on how what method is best? I.e. Over the top, through the right wheel etc?

Its a long time since I replaced a 2.0DTI alternatorand that was on a Vectra B, I pretty sure I took it out the top. The Vectra C has a lot more room so I would assume out the top again but probably slightly easier. What is the problem with your alternator, on my own Vectra B I changed the regulator on the alternator in position, took about 20 - 30 minutes.
