2007 Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD driveshaft removal.

Evening all, over the weekend I intend to remove my offside driveshaft on my 2007 Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD. This is necessary to replace the inner gaiter/boot as it has split. Anyone done one on this car? Anyone know how the driveshaft separates? Do I need to drain the box oil to avoid spillage before removing the shaft or is the fill level lower than the offside driveshaft hole?

I would try an universal glueable one first. Might save you a headache
