A long time ago, I worked for a biocide manufacturer, pharmaceutical grade product was 10x more expensive than the raw product, only difference was pharma grade was diluted by 98.5% distilled water and filtered through a 10000 micron filter.

Great business to be in (nasty product in the pure state, though)
