That looks amazing.

When (if) the world returns to normal, I'd love something like that rig to tour the world with for a couple of years.

This is the current set up, XC90 and Bailey Strathspey (Ranger)

Bought from my brother for £1250 5 years ago. One of the best things i've ever bought. The wife and kids absolutely love getting away in the van for a few days.

Probably going to buy a newer van this year or next as kids are getting bigger

Our "Dorothy" saved from the scrappie three years ago and brought back to life with a nice pair of Jaaaaaag chairs to boot! She's only done 108k - a mere stroll for what's referred to as a "million mile Messerschmitt". Generally 1000 mile annual hols without any problems whatsover.

I really like Dotty, Autotrails of that era were very well built, if a bit old fashioned compared to many contemporaries, even by UK standards, and that generation of Mercedes chassis were a damn good base too. Nice to see it.

This is our home our from home. Oztent combined with a side awning on the car. Been on many an adventure and love it. Quick to put up, quick to put away which is my no.1 priority when it comes to camping.

It is a 8ft x 4ft unit with three slide-outs and a slide-on to expand its internal living area, which consists of fixed double bed, two seat, porta-loo and storage. On the outside (not shown) is a slide-out kitchen. When fully open the unit is (still) 8ft but now 9ft wide.
Has electric hook-up and is pulled by a small Land Rover.

more photos available.

That’s a big beast! Got any pics of the inside? The dogs won’t know themselves in there!

Go on then ... here's ours. 2018 Hymer Exsis LHD. Three months into to ownership and already clocked up 5,500 miles! Have been to Far North, Far South, East and West of the UK. Currently just south of Calais about to return to UK after a two week roam around France.

Yeah have dog crates with cctv / climate control and a fold over bed... I’m a dog trainer and I compete in agility so I’m on the road with 4 of them.

I purchased a Wildax Aurora XL in April 2019. I've done 12k miles in it since. We always have it ready to go - it's the only thing that keeps me out of the pub! This image was taken near to Loch Etive in February.

Nice, i'd really like something like that in the longer term.

During the lockdown I was on a Skype call with some new German colleagues in Munich, we all did a bit of a personal intro, one of the guys in his 50's said his bit including 'liking travelling around in my campervan', then showed a piccy of the same model .... a bit more than a mere campervan, I thought! hehe

It's not huge ... 6.95m long 2.6m high and pretty narrow at 2.2m wide. Very manoeuvrable and fine in narrow lanes and back streets. Under the magical 3.5t limit even with a reasonable amount of stuff onboard so drivable on a standard car licence.

Last ever outing for our sun bleached Outwell Montana. Just after this shot was taken it was unceremoniously stuffed into a wheelie bin. Caravan purchase looming, covid and availability permitting.
