4 wheel alignment v. geometry checking
Discussion
A full four wheel alignment will check all of the vital measurements to allow better handling and lowest tyre wear.
Geometry and alignment should come under the same heading really.
Things to be checked will be camber, castor, toe angle, on a typical check.
Corner weights, castor offset, maybe if its adjustable.
£250 sounds a hell of a lot for just a check, most places with laser alignment gear will do it for round the £70 mark.
Make sure that its a specialist who does it and not the fast fit jockeys, they dont have a clue where to start.

Depends on what car,
a "proper" 4 wheel alignment for a 944 "does" cost around 250 quid, as its a 4 hour job, 2 if its been done before by Porsche.
And yes it DOES make a difference.
Wheel alignmemt, tracking, geomtery, are all the same things.
can be simple quick jobs to quite in-depth things
can give you a full run down on what needs to be done on a 44 and why it cost so much

I get a full geometry check and corner weight setting on my car every year by a race team and it costs about 250 quid.
they check and adjust everything
front and rear
toe in
castor camber
ride hight
and set for corner weights..
makes a huge difference the first time you have it done, almost all tiv's they do are nowhere near right when they get them.
i have it checked every year as the adjustment does move...
