I dont believe that the roads are the reason springs are going, its substandard cheap parts Vauxhall are putting on there cars from factory, iv got a Corsa D 13 plate and iv just had to replace 2 front springs which just gave up the ghost without any warning millage is 14K iv only done 2k myself since i got it. The mechanic who did my car says he does at least 2 a day everyday at £230 not a happy camper i wish i had bought another Focus as the build quality is miles better the drive is outstanding on Focus. Poxy Vauxy as they say. Will never buy another Vauxhall my V reg zetec should not be better than a 3 yr old car. Think i will send Vauxhall an email.

Chinese made coil springs can be an issue....many are of poor quality....back in the 70's we never had springs breaking like they do now....maybe because the steel was British made? They seem to be thinner these days too. Crap roads aren't helping.
