Bild also quotes him as saying too many good people are leaving the team.

Impossible to confirm that of course, but between Newey's departure, the new PU regs and the possibility of getting fingered by your boss, it wouldn't amaze me if a fair few had departed.

Ok, so Max was gifted the WDC ? So how does that make Lewis 8 times champion ? They can’t both have won it, and if Max was gifted it that surely means he has it ?
Indeed he has it. He just failed to win it.
Ok last post on this, just to be clear, if Max has that one (gifted or not) it leaves Lewis with 7 ?
FFS, it’s not a difficult concept everybody.

Verstappen won the 2021 title, the records show this. It’s an indisputable fact.

Some people however refer to the rules not being followed in AD2021 and cite Hamilton as having 8 titles. This is a moral standpoint, not a factual one.
No it's a factual one. The records were written by those who broke the rules. Every else knows they are incorrect. One day they will admit it. That's a fact as well, and all the trolls will then be crying into their Max fanzines.
How can it be a factual one when Max was the WDC in 2021?

If it was factual, Lewis would have 8 titles. He doesn’t, so it isn’t.

Before you get your knickers in a twist, I’m not saying Max deserves it or that the rules were followed or that the FIA didn’t make a huge cock-up.

I’m saying that factually, Max won the title that year. Whether we like it or not.
The race ended when the rule book was thrown away by Masi. The last lap was a one-off one lap Michael "it's a race" Masi special. It was not an F1 race because it was not run under F1 rules. Hamilton was leading the race and the championship at that point and was therefore champion, because the F1 race finished one lap early.

There is also precedent for races finishing early and the result being declared.

Those are facts, whatever the FIA try and claim. I'm still amazed that no one has challenged them or had an inquiry given the numbers of people who were entirely innocent and who lost out financially from the skullduggery that took place at the race track and subsequently, quite deliberately.

Pierre Gasly recalls the intense pressure Max Verstappen faced from his father during their early racing days, “After a race in Spain, I won that race and Max finished second behind me. I come back and his dad lost his st, yelling in Dutch, then insulting him in English words I won't repeat on camera, but they weren't nice.

He grabbed Max’s helmet, took it and threw it at him saying ‘No, get out! Go back to the tent! You can't even win one of your races!’

So the pressure was obvious. It was intense pressure, race after race.”

I knew Jos was a wrong'un but not so bad that he'd make me feel sorry for Max.

What a failure of a human being. If he did that in public then it's certain he would have been worse in private.

Not sure what that means. Pretty sure Max could have won a bunch of races and also had a better dad.

Indeed. He might have fallen further from the tree as well.

You know, life lived to its fullest is about having to deal with harsh lessons - that’s how we grow. Max is excelling in the construct that we call life on earth. He is in a stable and loving relationship with an older woman and appears to be loved by a child that isn’t his. Hd doesn’t cause trouble in public. By all accounts, outside the glare and pressure of F1 he’s a perfectly rounded individual.

I’m not a fan to be clear, but I see a perfectly rounded individual. A different story within F1, mind.

Jos pushed him and has made him the man he is today. The rest is folk projecting their insecurities and judgements on to them.

This is correct. Imagine if the roles were reversed and Lewis had been on new softs behind Max into the last lap. I'm sure Lewis would have done exactly the same, and would have fought to keep the championship if the result went to appeal by Red Bull.

Masi f**ked up under pressure from Wheatley, and much as I dislike Max, it is not his fault that he was gifted a win and the championship.

I have precisely zero idea what this means.

It was Horner who drew the attention, and Newey the obvious catalyst for the performance drop. All this bhing about Jos being a ‘poor dad’ etc, etc. it must be a great view up there in those towers eh? Nobody is close to the family in here, know what the press feeds them but as usual the bias and envy just rises to the top, a bit like gas does from a pile of st smile

It’s Horner’s job to deliver, so not an unreasonable request to bring the team back to the top. Just as it is every other team.
