RedBull's ability to get the set-up sorted after a bad start is fantastic. M4X unusually flawless as ever, and a nice bit of karma for Russell on lap one.
FTFY

What sort of karma do you want for Max in the next race, based on the same principle?

You are really now calling him M4X?

How tragic...

Just out of interest since you stuck in the 'unusually' there, can you name a driver that's been more flawless than Max this year?

Norris - no
Lewis - don't make me laugh
Sainz - as if
Leclerc - not bad but nope
George - crikey no
Piastri - nope
Etc

Max isn’t the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy. However, it’s been decades since I’ve seen someone, like Max, in Grand Prix. The whole GP racing thing is mired in ‘sponsors darlings’ / Tick Tock / insert latest skibidi social meeja crap. Max really doesn’t seem to care about that, to the extent of certain other drivers on the grid. He just wants to get out and race. That’s a massive breath of fresh air, as far I’m concerned.

So like Kimi Raikonnen without the class, then...

Oh, please don't sully Kimi Räikkönen's reputation by even mentioning him and Max in the same breath! nono

Simple and provable answer is that none of them have been anywhere near flawless.

This is when Max is a fool. They all moan about each other on the radio and will do whatever they can to give each other penalties. Is Max oblivious to the Norris yellow flag moan in the GP, or does he see that as a totally different set of circumstances?

In football they dive, in F1 they try and get each other penalties. Its a bore as an audience member at both sports.

only difference probably is that Lando's penalty was objectively justified and accepted by Lando himself, whereas MV's penalty is regarded as unjustified by most drivers/commentators except Russell and a few haters. The penalty applied was a one-off and justified subjectively by the stewards.

Hopefully a good niggle-match for next year.

That last penalty was a weird one, and George's reaction has wound up Max. But aside from that, I think it is great news to see Russell taking this stand. Hopefully, some of the other drivers will step up too.

Either way, for Verstappen to threaten Russell that he'd 'put him on his f***ing head in the wall' is something that hopefully none of us would support.

honestly, I don't think getting another driver a phoney penalty, then claiming to be the victim is 'taking a stand'. It's more like 'being a tt'.

The stewards decide penalties, not the drivers.

I'm referring to the other stuff George said, about standing up to bullies. More details and quotes here:

yeah, I think, if you have difficulty standing up for yourself, maybe elite sport isn't for you.
