I would have thought that there were several other people in front of him in the queue.

That’s a massive shock and such a shame, he’s got his quirks but I always enjoyed his qualy and race notebooks even though they were a bit random at times. I just thought he’d be back for the 2nd week of testing.

So Sky F1 get rid of him and keep people like Paul Di Resta and Natalie Pinkham?

Reading online that he may be joining F1 TV, hope it’s correct.

I'll be honest, I won't miss him.

His bumbling, rambling style was getting very tedious for me. I gave up on his notebooks last season.

I've seen a (now deleted) tweet that says it's down to clash of personalities with Scott Young, head of Sky F1. "The new boss hates him and everyone there hates the new boss". Allegedly.

It looks like Anthony Davidson might have gone too. His name is not on the Sky F1 press release that was released yesterday.

With Chandock and Button joining the team this year they had too many faces on screen. Natural selection?

Button is only going to be at 5 races, as there are clashes with his racing in Japan. Chandock is basically Ted's replacement.

They seem to be moving to a more woman friendly format on sky with various women parroting some half backed opinion or other. This serves to get the wife at home who may normally object to a skyf1 subscription to soften up a bit and agree to pathetic hubbies tearful budget allocation request.
Ted probably crowded out by all the new wimmin and their wardrobes.
Hope he shows up elsewhere in the paddock doing some proper reporting.

Either you're a troll or you need to get back to 1971 as they've lost their misogynistic idiot

The two women who've been part of their coverage from the beginning you mean?

F1broadcasting on Twitter (who is usually pretty well informed) suggests there's more to it than first appears and that the situation is still developing.

I wonder if C4 made him a decent offer to move over there and there's been a counter offer from Sky...

I think the site linked to is one of those clickbait jokey news sites and shouldn't be taken seriously.

I find the total blackout regarding Ted quite odd - surely if he were sacked they'd say so - wonder if its something else that's kept him away (don't want to speculate)

if its an uppity boss that's fired him on a whim that's utterly pathetic - Ted's contribution is unique and fun and an enjoyable light hearted rounding off of the event, far better than much of the generic space filler that makes up the hours of filler on a race show, and he has many fans that look forward to it.

I can’t believe Johnny “sort of” Herbert is still on the payroll. What a waste of space he is.

At least Ted could string a coherent sentence together.

Johnny Herbert could barely string a series of corners together

Same here - Really enjoyed The Note Book.

Seems odd as Ted seemed to have genuine rapport with many of the drivers, team members and bosses. Shame.

Absolutely. Every piece he says has at least 5 ‘sort of’s’. And at least one ‘interesting’. I can barely listen to him anymore.

Shame about Ted, he’s a loss to the coverage IMO.

I thought he was very good until he became a feature/brand himself. Then it all came a bit more predictable.

Better than a lot left on sky mind
