I would have thought that there were several other people in front of him in the queue.

That’s a massive shock and such a shame, he’s got his quirks but I always enjoyed his qualy and race notebooks even though they were a bit random at times. I just thought he’d be back for the 2nd week of testing.
So Sky F1 get rid of him and keep people like Paul Di Resta and Natalie Pinkham?
Reading online that he may be joining F1 TV, hope it’s correct.

They seem to be moving to a more woman friendly format on sky with various women parroting some half backed opinion or other. This serves to get the wife at home who may normally object to a skyf1 subscription to soften up a bit and agree to pathetic hubbies tearful budget allocation request.
Ted probably crowded out by all the new wimmin and their wardrobes.
Hope he shows up elsewhere in the paddock doing some proper reporting.

F1broadcasting on Twitter (who is usually pretty well informed) suggests there's more to it than first appears and that the situation is still developing.

I wonder if C4 made him a decent offer to move over there and there's been a counter offer from Sky...

I think the site linked to is one of those clickbait jokey news sites and shouldn't be taken seriously.
I find the total blackout regarding Ted quite odd - surely if he were sacked they'd say so - wonder if its something else that's kept him away (don't want to speculate)
if its an uppity boss that's fired him on a whim that's utterly pathetic - Ted's contribution is unique and fun and an enjoyable light hearted rounding off of the event, far better than much of the generic space filler that makes up the hours of filler on a race show, and he has many fans that look forward to it.

Same here - Really enjoyed The Note Book.Seems odd as Ted seemed to have genuine rapport with many of the drivers, team members and bosses. Shame.

I can’t believe Johnny “sort of” Herbert is still on the payroll. What a waste of space he is.
At least Ted could string a coherent sentence together.
Absolutely. Every piece he says has at least 5 ‘sort of’s’. And at least one ‘interesting’. I can barely listen to him anymore. At least Ted could string a coherent sentence together.
Shame about Ted, he’s a loss to the coverage IMO.
