CH must be seen by the teams board to be the right man for the job, and he's extremely passionate and ultimately honest at least. He's just... How do I say this nicely...

Imagine a large bell. He's the end part of that bell.

But his wife is very lovely so she must see another side smile
Obviously Dietrich Mateschitz and Helmut Marko saw his good side when he was barely 30-years old, and Horner possessed the skill to persuade Newey to come over to his dark side. He built up the remnants of Ford / Jaguars efforts in F1 and turned them into a 4-championship winning team.

So yes, apart from those blips and having a nice wife, he Is completely useless.

Sky plus it? Stuff getting up at 5.10 when I get wake up at my leisure and enjoy it with breakfast
I only have Sky Go, so can't record for later. I can only watch at time of broadcast.

Ladies and Gents,

I did put this out there on the F1 legit streaming, but no one replied!

Ive got a free (yes free) Sky Sports day pass, that NOW TV gave me a few months back, but the wife went back to SKY so I got full sky sports back, I'm happy to PM someone the code, reply to this message and I'll send across to the first to come back.

hehe you've seen the netflix show too, personally I put it done to the massive house, multi million pound salary, his and hers company Aston Martins, and use of the Jet/Yacht. Or he's just a beast between the sheets!

I'll watch live, otherwise I'll know the result before I watch... One way or another.

I hope there's a few others online on this thread as I think there will be a lot to discuss as it unfolds. I'm pretty sure there will be some surprises performance-wise that were carefully not revealed during testing.

So.. 6am on Saturday for qualifying then.. I'll be watching. I don't think I'll make the effort for practice. P3 is at 3am.. that's more of a late night than an early morning!

Me too.

Whilst I'm in no way a betting man, I thought I'd fancy a flutter on him to win the WDC this year.

Googled the odds and oddschecker came back with 10/1 to finish in the points and 2000/1 to finish in the top 3 at Melbourne.

I'll have me some of that I thought, opened Ladbrooks account, loaded up a whopping £15 and placed the bet.

Or tried to at least. Turns out that these were the odds from last year laugh

As I was reading the first part of that I was already reaching for my wallet, 2000:1!?

Gutted it was last year's odds!

I had an each way bet on him to win the Championship this year as soon as I found out he way going to Ferrari.

I got 9/1 which I thought was a fair price.

9/1 was good! I think he'll do very well this year. I really hope they're allowed to battle.

Photo below from this morning. The blue updated odds weren't showing yesterday!

FWIW some ridiculous F1 predictions from me:

If the Ferrari is better than the Merc (I doubt it, despite the talk) LeClerc will show Vettel how it's done. In which case Vettel will announce he's leaving Ferrari around mid-season.

The RB will be behind the Renault in qualy and race pace. Maybe at chassis-circuits the RB will do better.

Bottas will quickly confirm why he has No2 status at Merc.

McLaren will drag themselves to midfield-ish. 6th maybe 7th team.

Williams will jog around the back, and get lapped a lot in the manner of Parmalat Tyrells.

And perhaps most controversially, Alonso will be back at McLaren before the end of the year.

LeClerc win, just to see the feather rustling it will cause

Hopefully the Merc's have something in the tank, but I don't think they do.

Renault to lead the midfield and press the RB's.

I'm hoping this year's race is better than the usual Australia snooze fest. The only reason anyone is excited about Australia is because it's the first race of the season.

Will be catching the highlights on C4 as don't have Sky.

I get that feeling too but I don't know why. It would be wrong to attribute it to their pace in testing, or what LH has said, as they always hold back in testing and he ALWAYS says he thinks they're slower than he knows they are. Yet despite having no identifiable basis for my suspicion, I do still get the hunch this year the Ferrari will be ahead...

I think it may be simply be that Ferrari have shown a steady and fairly impressive return to being competitive over the last few years, and that logically a similar step forward this year is likely, and should see them get in front of Mercedes. Although, I'm sure Mercedes have considered that too... If I were placing a £10 bet, I'd bet in favour of Ferrari this season. But I wouldn't be that shocked to learn my hunch was wrong either.

The only thing I'd put down serious money on is Williams ending the year tenth in the constructors championship - but I don't think I'd get very worthwhile odds for that.
