Your name is appropriate: Hamilton missed the WDC by maybe one lap. If he had pitted one lap earlier in China his tyres would have got him round the pit lane corner & he would have won.
Way to miss the point!

If Ron hadn't been so fixated on trying to get a rookie title for Hamilton, he wouldn't have pissed off Alonso and would more than likely have delivered the title for Alonso.

All the internal politics and in-fighting cost them a title they should have easily won.

Marko is too arrogant for that. Would rather risk destroying albons career than admit kyvat is decent.

They say they're reviewing thier options for 2020. Albon, Gasly or...

And very nearly did. Hamilton missed it by one point & a WDC in his rookie season whould have been an incredible achivement. I f Alonso was good enough he should have won it on merit, or are you saying Ron nobbled Alonso's car?

Can we stick to 2020 please? No top teams have shown any interest in Alonso for 2020, outstanding as his talent is smile

Red Bull and Honda stated they would not want him in the Red Bull.

After Gasly I bet Alonso is in the Red Bull in 2020. laugh

Red Bull says one thing and does the exact opposite.

Must be looking for 2020. Can't imagine they think Albon can score more this year in the remaining races whilst learning the car. A week is long time especially as allegedly they are not supposed to be doing anything from today.

We desperately need him realising more of the potential of the car.
Our intention is to leave him in the car to the end of the year week

I know the Hamilton duvet set fans won’t agree, but he does have a history of losing his edge when pressured by team mates or if the car is underperforming.
Can you not say that for all drivers? Vettel has been showing in recent seasons he gets a bit crashy when the pressure is on him in a competitive season where he doesn't have the blown diffuser benefit. Didn't do well against Danny R either. Max also kept crashing loads for a while under the pressure from DR too.

Arguably the one driver who didn't was Alonso who whilst moaning constantly, genuinely seemed to wring every last millisecond out of even complete dogs of cars.

Zero pressure driving a dog - anything’s a bonus.

No doubt Alonso could still ‘do a job’ for any team on the grid. But maybe the price is too high. And he can’t keep his mouth shut on the radio.
Raikonnen still gets drives but I have to think that he doesn’t ask top dollar any more and just mumbles crap if he says anything at all.

You have (ironically) the season with Hamilton where he really went crazy though too. So I'd include him too.

Presumably the HR dept isn’t governed by the summer shut down rules?

A few years old as an article, but defines the scope of shutdown which is less complete than I had remembered.
