The car is a W09 with last yrs front wing.
And totos new mate, that’s the UK’s Richest Man (+20 billion USD, whose main company has a 80 billion annual turnover), so that’s the budget secured then....

Indeed that's one hell of a sponsor, connected perfectly to the world of sport. I think Jim came over as someone who really is aligned to how Mercedes do things too - expect he'll get dragged in to the sport and become a regular face at races. He spoke as someone with very little F1 knowledge but also a genuine appreciation for what he has seen so far.https://m.imgur.com/a/tJNpu0c

The lure of Mercedes/Toto... Money hasn't been a problem for years - the only problem they have these days is deciding whose to take. I think INEOS was a good choice.

Merc F1 ltd are profitable but not quite self funding in terms of cash flows, this is almost a statement of intent. I’m sure a bigger gin palace is in order for the upcoming entertaining...

Ineos, have purchased a couple of football teams, team SKY (bikes), and I think an America’s Cup boat & spot.

It hasn't escaped my attention that Toto's new best friend has the money and the track record to buy sports teams... would not surprise me if he bought Nikis shares. All conjecture of course, but it's the out season, this is the correct time for conjecture

Just been having a read up on them. A good company doing good things with good people. And British.More of these and less of the Rich Energy nonsense me thinks. Though there's not many Ineos' out there so fair play to Mercedes for bagging them.

That's the point I guess - Mercedes aren't searching for sponsors so much as choosing their ideal sponsors from a pool of companies waving notes at them! More of these and less of the Rich Energy nonsense me thinks. Though there's not many Ineos' out there so fair play to Mercedes for bagging them.
As for rich energy... I don't think they should be the bar by which other sponsors are judged!
