Vaud, it would be helpful if you'd let me know you were putting the thread up, I've just spent 20 mins doing it.

Anyway, Channel 4 times here for those without Sky:

Really? He posted like 6 hours before you

VB for the win here.. he’s the most competent driver in low grip conditions..
That would appear to be a bold assertion.
I think you spelt boll**s incorrectly, though you got the first three letters correct. Low grip/rain - Lewis and Max are generally the best.

Brilliant race!

Puts today's F1 in perspective frown
That was quite the amazing race to watch again.

Let’s start with the debutant Marcus Wiklehock in the Spyder leading after two laps, following a good decision to start from the pit lane on the inters.

Actually, let’s start with the noise. Sorry F1, but the visceral experience of these cars was a huge part of the show that is no longer there.

Then we saw Lewis pulled out of the gravel trap still sitting in the car with the engine running, something that got banned for no real reason.

(Sadly, we f******g still had to learn the hard way about putting tractors on a wet track though, RIP Jules Bianchi)

Oh, and at this point we’re five laps in, with 50 still to go and some more rain coming at the end.

More races like that please, as I suspect might be coming next weekend.

I think it was The Race who posted about this earlier in the week, there was a GP in the 30's held in the freezing cold with snow on the side of the road

Depends if Deesee is expecting the circuit to be wet or is suggesting it may be low grip for some other reason, because it will be green maybe?

To be honest I have given up trying to pick circuits where Bottas may be quicker than Hamilton after Russia. Russia is the most Bottas circuit of all and Hamilton was faster.

Certainly wouldn’t put Bottas above Hamilton or Verstappen in wet conditions

Dry.... low grip, for VB.. it’s the way he corners..

LH is unstoppable in the wet, what is it 13/15 races won in the wet since 2008?

‘Ring I’m expecting low track temps (low teens), green track, dry running, a lot of teams could struggle with tyre temps (so blistering).

Would’ve thought graining would be more of a problem.

Unfortunately the Mercedes loves cooler conditions.

For all the talk of snow, does F1 and the event organiser actually have a contingency plan in place for if this happens?

They can’t really use salt on the track, so are they going to borrow a couple of glycol sprayers from the local airport?

They should just all go and race the indoor karts there instead.

Last year in the may bank holiday weekend i went over to Spa for the WEC 6 hours, that was snow effected and had to be run under safety car for portions of the race when conditions got a bit treacherous but for thr post part it was run as usual.

Was an odd experience, pretty much all 4 seasons in the day!

1975 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch was a non-championship F1 race won by Welshman Tom Pryce. I was there and it was bloody freezing!

2013 Pole Lap

https://youtu.be/cmejK7-s2iM

My 5 yr old daughter just asked for a replay, because she liked the noise, (FFS) hehe

Quite a good on board for the pole, as this guy only tends to do well in a dominating car biglaugh

I was there that weekend, my stag do! Was also the race where the cameraman got clocked by the lose wheel in the pitlane and Bianchi's Marussia did the decent thing and set itself on fire before rolling unaccompanied down the back straight.

I think the temperature will be the interesting thing to watch, that's seriously cold for a modern F1 race.
