F1TV Premium has just launched, offering 4K, multiview, HDR etc. on select devices:

A half assed release. Quite why it doesn't support the firestick or chromecast is a mystery.Compatibility list:

As soon as it does I'll be upgrading. 1080 is OK but that's the biggest downside compared to when I had Sky.

What’s TVOS? Is that Apple TV?
Yes.Can you you run a VPN on the box? I use Nord.
https://nordvpn.com/download/apple-tv/
The Apple TV has an App Store, same as iPhone or iPad, and most apps are cross-compatible.
Anyone have a muppets guide to signing up to F1TV from the UK - how to pay is the main issue & if debit cards on Apple Pay are geo-checked like credit cards. I'm across the VPN issue & even using Nord it requires hunting around for a server that isn't geo-blocked just when trying to subscribe. I'm not really wanting to go as far as dedicated IP though.

What's the best country to select when using a VPN to sign up for F1 TV Premium?
Do the prices change much depending on location?
It's difficult to get information on whether your card billing address is involved in the process. A couple of seasons ago I moved to Canada for the season but last year it was less successful & in the end I didn't bother & stopped watching live races. There's an F1TV Reddit but it's currently full of hyperventilating outrage about the new Premium service. Do the prices change much depending on location?

I use Apply Pay which is linked to my credit card, and i wasnt geo-checked. I think its on the first page on what you need to do, i found for the 'sign up' process it was easy on my iphone... it went like this...
Download Nord VPN, install and connect to USA
Download F1TVPro app on iphone, register an account.... and click subscribe.
Pay for 1 year subscription.... confirm... how would you like to pay.... Apple Pay..
Then it sets up the subsciption with auto renew on my iphone.. and renews every year

I haven’t seen any deals worth pursuing, now tv is £35 a month. If I don’t see anything in the coming days, I might invest in an Apple TV box, and look at F1TV using my vpn even though I’m more than happy with my firestick. I can’t believe the cost of the Apple TV box but it’s Apple I guess…..

How are you getting those deals? What's the source?
I'm an ex subscribers but not for a year or so. M7st just be on list to entice as I got a deal like that once before but for 6 months. 12 months is pretty goodI’ve had f1tv for a couple of years and generally have issues trying to cast to my pretty new LG top of the range TV from my iPhone. Sometimes works, often doesn’t.
So I am wanting to address this. I am thinking about buying an Apple TV box and casting to that. I assume that running the app on the phone with my existing VPN tool will work well with that.
I assume a firestick will be a pain.
I don’t want to plug a laptop in.

You can buy a Firestick app that lets you mirror an iPhone to a TV. Not sure if F1 TV is blocked though. I know Sky Go is.
I just installed the F1TV app directly on my FireStick today. Using Windscribe for VPN, Worked perfectly while I was testing it. Of course, the real test will be this weekend…rlw said:
Does anyone have the Sky streaming service - the one with the thing you shove in the back of the TV?
My question is can you catch up with all the GPs or do these fall of the schedule, if they are ever on it. All I want to do is watch them when I sit down for my dinner on a Sunday evening.
The problem with SKY streaming (for me at least) It takes several hours after the live race before it's available to watch as a catch up service. I have no idea how long each race is available. From my perspective. I work weekends often finishing at 6 pm. I usually manage to avoid the results for a few hours before I watch the race on SKY Q.
Even though I have F1 as a legacy service at no extra cost. SKY is becoming far too expensive to justify just for f1.
