To all that have made it - fair point about using Brady to appeal to the US audience and try and better connect them with Aston as a brand. I can see that even a small boost in Aston interest in the massive US market could be extremely valuable.
I'd certainly be chuffed if Strolls longer term plans for the F1 team and Aston Martin resulted in AM's future looking more rosey in addition to improving US viewing figures for F1 in general.

Well there was the Lotus that wasn't a Lotus and a Jaguar that was a Ford...
This is true - but doesn't make the brands mythical!Anyway, history repeats itself. Like a Lotus that wasn't a Lotus, we now have an Aston that isn't the clone Mercedes it's based upon. Although the same could just about be said of the road cars they now sell

Bloody big power bulge for the new PU implementation on the Aston too.
Just like the Merc... So not shrink wrapping then, there is something new to accommodate under there!Given privacy screens are no longer allowed during testing, there is a reasonable chance we might know for sure what/why in about a weeks time
Bad sign for McLaren then, given the lack of one there? Would suggest the packing is far less right surely. Or were they able to have the engine placed a little differently due to having the chassis update (no idea how much room there would be available to lower it - I suspect very little in reality).

It's there on the McLaren but more integrated with the exit area of the headrest, so not as obvious.I suspect McLaren will be more cautious on initial packaging whilst they gather data. With such limited testing time they cant afford any silly issues with overheating.

I like the look of the car but the ceremony was so stiff. Lawrence has all the warmth and charm of some war worn dictator. The MC was just as wooden.
Finally got to watch the Alpine and Aston launches.Alpine are laying down thick how this year will be a damp squib and 2022 is where its at. Dont expect much from them.
Aston, bloody hell, how awkward was that. Gemma may be a good actor but christ is she crap at presenting. The whole affair was tense and over scripted, even Daniel Craig looked more mahogany than usual and that takes some doing. They all looked terrified.
The only plus was Vettel, he was on good form and looked light weight compared to recently, i hope the Ferrari performance was just a mess and he manages to put in some good drives. He seemed far more relaxed than recently.

https://www.gpfans.com/en/articles/62387/haas-reve...It's the corporate colours of the new sponsor, and absolutely nothing at all do do with the Russian flag colours at all...
Even the USA flags on the flow conditioners are gone. I knew gene wanted out but didn't realise he would make it so obvious.
So the proud American team has a car that's designed in Italy, with an engine and gearbox from Italy, built in the UK and funded by Russians.
Still, atleast its quite a clean livery to be crawling around the back of the grid
