Drive to Survive Season 3

Hoping they've toned down the exaggerated sound effects this season!
I know it's aimed more at pulling in your non-f1 fan or casual viewers but the added sounds really aren't needed.
With on-board footage, a tree passes "Woosh!" Advertising board above.. "Woosh!" - A tiny bit of contact between cars and they add a sound like a plane has just crashed.

to be honest i find it a bit boring - anyone actually interested in F1 has probably read/seen/heard all this info shown in this program as it happened in the F1 season.
...and you could usually compress the entire episode by about 40% if they got rid of all the sound effects, and cuts-to-a-bashing-car-in-the-wall....
I usually stick it on in the background while doing something like posting on PH....
Lawrence’s robust defence of the pink Mercedes this time last year was like watching a dictator of some backward country negotiating a hostage situation. I thought that surely he’d lighten up under different circumstances. After the car launch I’m not even sure he’s human. Certainly no human says “AS-TON MAR-TEN” the way he does.

You're both not alone.
He wasn't that bad considering his level of dosh being invested. What struck me more is everyone in the team is terrified of him, which isnt really a healthy thing for a team like they have.
He is clearly a driving force, but not in the Zak Brown mold of encouragement, more a do it or you are toast merchant.
I'm tempted to Subscribe to Netflix & binge all three seasons. It strikes me as an updated version of 1993's, BBC 2 series "A season with Mclaren" dealing with (amongst other things) Andretti's part season, Senna's departure for Williams & Hakkinens Portuguese outqualifying of Senna on his Mclaren debut, a really enjoyable series. Come to think of it, I may have to try & find that again too!

On the Ferrari episode. Are they not so subtley suggesting vettel was the source of info/snitch on the dodgy Ferrari engine?
I think it's more a case of he asked what happened to the cars power post the US GP and didn't like the fact he was driving a cheater.Britta holding her head when he wasn't towing the party line was classic.
It's all very PR'd this time, so more sanitised than the first season, but better than the second.
Above all else it reminded me what a fantastic season it was last year. The Gasly episode was great. Albon was given a bit of a hard time, but he was perhaps as weak as he is portrayed. Still like Seb.
Ep9, the crash episode is as dramatic as you'd expect. I thought they should have used that clip with the counter in the corner of the screen showing how long he was in the car for.
Kept me busy (or not as the case might be!) today.
