Lawson’s penalty also a joke. Is the pit exit off the circuit now!? Penalty is for forcing a driver off the circuit. These guys see Max Vestappen get away with that sort of thing all the time.

Agreed. It was hard, but forcing a driver off the track? He wasn't even alongside him.

Also harsh penalty for Ticktum. I mean he has more than half a car alongside even before the braking zone. He didn't move over. He didn't out brake himself. The only thing that penalty says is "don't race".

Yep I know we are supposed to boo Dick Tantrum, but I can't see how they can give Ticktum a penalty without giving the guy in the middle a penalty too. They were doing exactly the same move. By that token if there was a fourth car on the inside of Ticktum, that driver would have got the sole penalty instead of any of the others.

Dick in full tantrum mode. Lol

An extra pitstop + 10s penalty. He was 29s behind the leader. He could've won this race. (Don't tell him that though)

Racing incident I think.

Dan Ticktum - as he says he was faster than them. But he did put his car in a position that would always end in tears. He’s so frustrating to watch, and to listen to. He needs a sports psychologist if he doesn’t have one already.

10 seconds perhaps harsh but he was the last of the 3 drivers to insert himself where 3 cars won't fit. He'd have been better off easing out of it and waiting for the other two to hit each other or at least one of them to be slow exiting and easy to pass.

Always good to support the Brits in F2 but Ticktum is difficult to warm to. There are plenty of fast rookies in F2 this year but they are all making mistakes on a regular basis. Ticktum, with all his experience, should be capitalising on this.

At least he has pace. Apparently Berndt Maylander was asked to slow down during one of the SC periods this weekend to allow Alessio Deledda to keep up. How on earth can he be in an F2 car, take a look at his F3/F4 record....

It'll be interesting to see if Ticktum gets promoted to Williams, if he has a good season, if Russell gets promoted to Mercedes next year.

Technically he's already at Williams.. But yes, I am wondering is he could actually find his way in to F1 on merit if he keeps up his (mostly) very good work this season smile

And in special skills on his CV he can now put "at least I'm not Mazepin", which does put him in a better light wink

Ticktum’s parents or backers must have deep pockets to persevere with his F1 ambitions. He cannot handle his own emotions.

I thought that Piastri did have part of his car alongside and my view was that Lawson was far too aggressive. ‘The Mazepin Chop’ needs stamping out, fast.

Great race. Some awesome moves in there. Best F3 race i can remember fir some time.

Martins looks like to be taking the title of the talent to watch. Hauger did nothing in that race.

Great race. Great overtake for the lead with nice control just before the next corner.

Did Lewis’s car run with the number 6 this weekend or is it my eyesight? The screen display still had him as 44.

He was 44 as usual, and also, he was driving in the F1 race.

This is the F2/F3 thread. wink
