He should have had win #8 last year, but Masi gave it to Max. banghead
Yup, an episode that will forever shame the sport.

Mr Tidy said:
Mercedes look hopeless this season and LH is getting beaten by GR most weekends.
Hamilton has been adversely affected by safety cars that have benefitted Russell in 3 of the 5 races so far.

Lewis is ahead of George 3 to 2 in qualifying.

I just hope when the time comes he doesn't bumble around desperate for a point or two like Vettel and Alonso!
I don't think Lewis will stick around too long if Merc can't solve its issues.

GR doesn't seem to be too worried about the "issues", he is the up and coming star.

Can you not see the difference in their situations?

ETA

What do you mean GR 'doesn't seem too worried'? He'd be a pretty unusual F1 driver if he wasn't bothered about having an uncompetitive car.

With the car in its current guise, Lewis will be lucky to win another race, let alone another Championship.

Why ?

Mercedes is currently 3rd best car on the grid.

Rus is doing a decent job and should get a podium or win this season.

These guys are not interested in coming 4th.

That was my point, really. George is young, clearly the real deal, and at the start of his career. Lewis is 37 and is the most successful driver in F1 history. That's why I doubt he'd hang around like Kimi, just for something to do. He's done it all already.

If Merc starts to turn things around though, I think he'll definitely give it a go next season.

Yes Ham is happy when he can grab low hanging fruit in a magic carpet car and has a compliant team mate. Bottas has since woken up at Alfa, it must be pure coincidence.

Ham has never delivered in a car as bad as the F310.
Nobody deserves such a pig, not even Eddie Irvine hehe

And it's a good script because it's true.

As the hardest working person on PH you're in for a long season and presumably Ham will appreciate your efforts on here hehe

Valteri is a very handy driver but was relentlessly and repeatedly humbled by Hamilton.

Yeah, looks like 2022 could be a rough ride for Mercedes. Hopefully, they will turn it around.

I’ve noticed over the past 18 months or so, paulguitar has taken over from vdn as Hamilton’s PistonHeads PR guy hehe

George got a podium in Australia.

When you're outside of the top 2 teams the opportunities for race wins are few and far between unless rain is involved.
