You could almost argue that Lando and George were both robbed of a nailed on win. Ifs and ands etc

Lando wasn’t robbed. He decided not to change for wet tyres and lost fair and square. The other opportunity he had he was beaten by his team mate.

George on the other hand was certainly robbed of a win.

So is DeVries in?
I suspect de Vries will be in somewhere, but IMO probably not at Williams. My best guess is:

Gasley to Alpine
de Vries to Alpha Tauri
Someone from F2 to Williams
I suspect Mercedes will want de Vries in at Williams and out of the hands of Marko.
Since they can't get Herta in, I wonder if the sport will be pushing for Logan Sergeant to Williams

Yep im wrong as a legitimate f1 media person. But at least I haven't been paid for it lol.
If only the cars were more equal we could judge the drivers more fairly. Can modestly funded teams afford to waste money on crash repairs?.
They have hyped piastri to the moon due to his f1 connections webber/couthard/channel 4 platform and all the blah blah.
Poor little devries didn't have this so just faded from the picture after his f2 success and had to be content with being a Electric world champion at his 1st attempt.
Luck has paid a part but he's back and should have 1st refusal of the choice seat available.

Piastri is better than de Vries. Also, de Vries has had loads of FP1s. Teams have always been lukewarm on him.

Exactly. And History is full of drivers who have rolled and won and had them declared heroes or master tacticians. When it came to Norris I think his Mechanic should have been a bit more forceful and told him to box.

His mechanic doesn't talk to him.

It's going to be weird next year without these two, 53 wins and 4 WDCs between them...

Apparently Hulkenberg is not being seriously considered, he’s been petitioning teams to keep Latifi in as the only driver capable of beating his record

Hulkenberg would be fantastic for Haas - his development skills and technical feedback are highly regarded by all engineers who have worked with him. He's exactly what Haas need right now.
