What do you class as a better service?
Well Now TV is the cheapest way of doing it through Sky, but with that you can't pause, start when you like or have access to all the other views, data etc you get from F1 TV.

You really need a full fat Sky Q to get close to F1 TV, which is many, many times more expensive than the F1 TV fee. You can even have the Sky commentary team on F1 TV, should you wish.

With the price of tickets seemingly rising hourly, another idea might be to look at tour operators offering package deals, perhaps originating from other countries, or via the F1 website directly. These will take a few days or weeks to be available, but might end up being better value than buying directly at top prices.

And they also give you the full (as much as it exists at least) back catalogue of GP's going back decades to watch at your leisure.

I see the last couple of seasons are also available to re watch WITH the commentary options and choice of driver cams etc.

Remarkable value for money and definitely a big step up from Sky's offering in terms of content availability.

For anyone trying again this morning at 11:30am when they re-open ticket sales:

Use PayPal checkout if you have it set up linked to your Bank Account (Card payments were a nightmare yesterday and kept failing).

I had my laptop using Edge, iPad with Safari and mobile with Chrome all in the queue and the only one that got through was using Chrome Browser on my iPhone.

Take from that what you will, but I managed to get tickets yesterday using the above method. Hopefully it's a lot smoother today!

Might also be the case that the media managed to get hold of this aswell, seen stories in the Telegraph and other tabloids and also a lot of F1 and Northants based papers, it doesn't look good, especially the sort of proven/unproven buy now or the price goes up stuff. Almost making it like a bidding war.

Either way it's not a good look.

But you don't care because you got tickets right... lol the precedent being set here is truly awful. You do know that don't you.

Oh I forgot, Your life, your way, that's how it works eh.

One day you'll just shut the fk up about F1 and PH will be a tiny bit happier as a result.

PH needs a 'like' button.

My wife has managed to get tickets today for the 3 days as a 40th birthday present for me but I have told her I’m not tenting or travelling. I have got access to my old man’s caravan but after 30 minutes of googling for a pitch I gave up, it’s as clear as mud.

Can anyone who has gone before recommend a place to stay or have I missed the boat already? In which case I have got 2no tickets for sale…..
Cheapest and simplest campsite is Dadford road. No frills. No bar, no entertainment. If you want a nice flat pitch you'll need to be there by Thursday at the latest or preferably arrive Wednesday. Last year motorhome and 2 people Thurs -Monday was £120. Doesn't usually sell out till much closer to next June.

I’m out, been saving up for this for a while, not even a quarter of the way through the queue and the prices have jumped 40-50 again over yesterday, too much now.

After 6 hours of online queueing yesterday I joined the queue again at 11.30am. Another hour of queueing and I eventually got through, unlike yesterday I managed to get the payment to go through so got the tickets I wanted and camping. Bloody expensive, but it's for my son so I'll just grin and try and forget about how much it cost.

Well after joining at 11:30 I get through and the red bar hits 100% at 12:50. i pick £972 worth of Copse tickets with parking. Register my name against my tickets , enter my card details, gets approved. Payment is showing as pending on my bank but the payment page times out with a "azwebpay.com" error and closes my page.

So Im down almost a grand and no tickets. Rubbish

Joined at 1130 got them 10 mins ago. I think i managed to get where i wanted but club corner seat numbering is very confusing.

Am i right in thinking the higher the number the closer to the pits?

Same here, not sure if I’m wasting my time; is demand that great or have Silverstone just contracted the lowest bidding, incompetent fkwits to handle the ticketing?

I wonder if their server 48k 16k Spectrum has gone down again and someone’s thought ‘put that red bar thingy up on the screen and make it move now and again, it might buy us some time’?

I was in the queue yesterday for hours until it crashed, been in the queue today since 11:30 exactly and almost got to the end, but the prices have increased so much that I don't think we will be going now. Originally looking at grandstand tickets but now can only afford GA tickets and not sure they are worth £270 each.

We will look at Spa instead, or maybe Le Mans for the 100 years.
