Perez, The Elephant in the Room??

- Did Perez cheat in Moncao quali? Having been back and watched the footage, there appears to be a big stab of throttle and not much steering correction to try and catch the oversteer. However, he was third, and therefore unable to gain a great deal, other than over his team mate (perhaps at Monaco he believed he had a shot at the WDC?) Also very risky putting it in the barrier even at low speed.
- Max and the RBR team would see this throttle spike and steering angle in the data, so I imagine they know if Perez did bin it on purpose.
This is where I am on it too. The spin looks dodgy as hell, very reminiscent of Piquet in that there's a sudden and very obvious spike in the engine revs and he just doesn't correct it. But equally he had far more to lose than he stood to gain, in terms of damaging something significant and only being 3rd at that point with Max behind him. So there's no obvious motive for Perez or the team, where there clearly was in Singapore '08. And he could've easily spun it somewhere without hitting anything.- Max and the RBR team would see this throttle spike and steering angle in the data, so I imagine they know if Perez did bin it on purpose.
Seem to remember Jos moaning about how Sergio was being favoured by the team?
Funny how since then the car development has been to accommodate Max's style at the cost of Perez!
I see now mums got involved with personal comments about Sergio private life!
With his parents and the Red Bull management Max has some fine roll models!

Jolyon Palmer seems to think there's something odd with the throttle/steering

If Perez did bin it on purpose, he'd be an absolute idiot to admit that to the team. Although, the video I saw the day after Monaco with Perez still pissed from the night before staggering from a boat, he might not remember he admitted it

Don't forget that other nice family he's involved with - The Piquets......Funny how since then the car development has been to accommodate Max's style at the cost of Perez!

Hmm,
Checo spun on the final corner at Dutch GP in q3, when Hamilton and Charl were on quick laps..
I suppose that’s ok as Max took pole.

When they next go to Mexico the boos will resound far and wide. There's red bull shifting tons of merch and drinks and max decides to scupper it all. I guess the big boss is not around anymore.
There could be some hasily arranged cuddling and kisses in abu dhabi. Before they both get arrested lol.

- Max clearly thinks strongly enough that Perez has done something previously, and therefore wants to get one up on him by giving him some extra points at Sao Paulo. Max has nothing to gain, other than to get one over on Perez.
.
Or Max is just a cock..
I suspect anything Perez might do will get played down partly for the 'Max show' too. Because, allowing for the fact that Max is bound to get priority upgrades and strategy, Perez has done very well to stay as close as he has overall this season.
I think the ideal for RB is to enjoy Perez's points scooping but not give him too much light, because Max needs to remain as a god with no equal to his fans.

I came here to post this. On a weekend where Mercedes were very fast and overtaking was very hard, this one was way more suspicious.Checo spun on the final corner at Dutch GP in q3, when Hamilton and Charl were on quick laps..

I have a lot of Dutch friends including many I consider ‘blind’ to MV’s faults. Quite a few have said they are glad NDV has a drive as now there is a decent person to support. Mind you that won’t last long as I don’t expect NDV to be in a winning car at least initially. And hey, I support Aston Martin so WTF do I know!

I know Perez is a great driver but that looks like a risky way to initiate a deliberate spin. Out on the outside curb on corner exit with not much run off on inside where he ended up.
After Rosberg's outing at Monaco quali, I don't think it will ever be possible for any driver to bring an early close to Q3 without attracting suspicion from the tinfoil hat brigade! It doesn't have to make sense, it just has to vaguely comparable and the theorists will grab their keyboards..

Anyway, the dodgiest thing that weekend was the sister team sending a retired car back in to the track to cause a safety car, after Merc had overcut Max. VSC to SC so less time lost on the pit lane. Max then held position P1.
However not to be outdone, Merc then put Hamilton on a set of used mediums in the 2nd safety car restart and F****ed his race anyway
Your defiantly going to see this in drive to survive..
