If the top 4 teams are are close as is being said. then its going to come down to driver pairing so Mclaren and Ferrari imo in for the constructors.
I don't rate Lawson anything other than a solid midfield potential and kimi is still an unknown.

Ferrari have won their court case against Aston Martin to delay former technical director Enrico Cardile's start date until late in the 2026 car development cycle. Cardile was poached from Fred Vasseur's staff last July, becoming Aston Martin's new chief technical officer.

Aston Martin will have to wait until midway through the 2026 season to see Cardile work on their car

New rules for 2025 to close up some loopholes.

Pit lane starters must do formation laps, not sit in pits until race start.

Seriously damaged cars still driving will be instructed to leave the track, not return to pits (ie. Perez in Canada)

Forgive the pedantry, but that should be 'eg' not 'ie'.

Carry on.

Thanks, I'll try to do that fewer in the future.

Piastri penned contract until end of 2028 season: https://www.planetf1.com/news/oscar-piastri-mclare...

I'm guessing they're happy enough with him to want to secure him long term on the off chance the new Merc PU is less than ideal for 2026 and Lando walks. I'm not surprised, I think he's a driver with a lot more to come and a potential champion of the future.

Anyway, they've certainly banked on him, he's officially now a (very) long term investment for McLaren!

Why do we keep getting this Yuki has to find another drive guff?
Maybe someone should consider he changed his management as they were too much a product of the honda setup.
He is free to just be part of another setup now. Like the red bull camp.
Racing bulls could be a feeder team to main team if there was some actual movement in the main team. Thats rare.
Big change over to new cars and engines means you would want the same person in this years car to drive next years.Otherwise its just some young bozo telling you everythings good due to comparing it to the car mum pickes them up with from the go kart track.
Max aint going anywere next year. He would feel some loyalty to the people that have won him all those titles.
Most likely move is Hadjar would replace Lawson and they would get someone new alongside Yuki for 2026.
As its stands a couple of years of Yuki and Hadjar would be great. A proper team and not just the test mule driver next to max.

Perhaps because Red Bull have tacitly said that he was brought in because of Honda and have then openly said that being as he wasn't chosen to replace Perez, he will need to move on to allow someone else into RB.

And Honda have said he's (Tsunoda) on his own.

Unless he botches up the rest of the season he will be there. Honda dropping him is why he will be there.

In RB?

I don't think he will. He's had his 4 years and not progressed (in RBR's eyes) so he'll be moved on - Sebastian Buemi/Daniel Kvyat-style

Beyond AM, is anyone expected to take the Honda PU in 2026? That would be his life line

Exclusive partnership agreement isn't it? Same deal as at RBR, albeit they had RB to run on the same PU, but still within the same exclusive supply agreement.

It’s just AM at the moment, and they’re either sticking with what they have or replacing the old man with another multiple-times champion.

Looks like Yuki might need to practice turning left for next year.

I hope Ferrari put up a good show in the upcoming Chinese GP unlike they did in Australia.
