Anyone else just watched the Academy practice?
Looks like everyone below Pin and Pulling need to be in an lower series compared to those two!
Pin for the win this season I think, easily.
Pin has showed proper pace in sportscars, she's a decent talent. Pulling has showed occasional speed in F4, but not consistently and can't see her progressing. There's no-one else on that grid that could move forward (several drivers have looked slow in winter series races). Looks like everyone below Pin and Pulling need to be in an lower series compared to those two!

Anyway, I suppose as a junior series that needs to assemble a grid of 20 all female drivers, it was always going to be quite a broad talent pool. It doesn't matter either, all that matters is who shows the highest level of progression now they have the opportunity.

It is a little like watching the teacher up front, followed by the teachers assistant, and then a load of students behind learning by doing

Yes. I’ve not seen it yet but will try and catch the qualifying live after F1 P2. Yes there’s going to be a gradient, with probably three or four drivers in the hunt each race. Great to see Dorianne Pin in a single-seater though, have been following her for a couple of years in sportcars and the Ferrari Challenge, she’s always looked quick.

I know a couple of race engineers on the F1 circus and they give me a bit of insight into this sort of stuff, as my daughters follow what is happening.
They also say Pin is the favourite because of the amount of seat time and backing she has had. Although, question if her physique will be up to the demands of the higher level formulae.
They also say that there is such a big mix of driver experience, some brand new to single seaters, that best not to judge on early results, but watch for progression through the season.
I’m told they get a lot of testing and practice.
