No point voting for anyone else other than Verstappen as anyone who tries to overtake he takes out of the race.

Early, it's supposed to be the beginning of race week isn't it? Slacker wink

Looking forward to Sky attempting to stir up some bad blood between Lando and Max who will have already kissed and made up by now. Zak will still be easy to wind up though hehe

Will the Red Bull be as dominant as we think or can Lando banish his mistakes and snatch a home win? I'll be cheating for Lando but I think Max will edge him here.

Anyone but Max.

As ever thanks for doing these threads, after Austria this weekend could be a proper race, and if Ferrari get things together potentially 4 different teams should be fighting for the podium and Max v's McLaren and Mercedes for the win.

For all those going to the circuit it might be good to arrange meeting up over a beer for a PH F1 forum chat (or argument?!).

Thanks!
Lots to look forward to here.
Lando needs to be strong and show max he's not going to be bullied by his driving style.
I do wonder if Red Bull will introduce a new PU for Max (as he is on four currently) to maybe diffuse the tension (with the resulting 10+ grid penalty)?

Lewis loves it here, and with Mercedes on the up, can he get a win? That would be popular.

Will Leclerc continue to let the pressure get to him? Sainz is looking good and solid, so I'd like to see a good drive from him.

Perez, will he continue his baffling run of form?

But maybe the Green party will gain control and (probably) cancel the GP at short notice biggrin

Went for Oscar

I fear LN will be overly aggressive as he's riled up and the back to back nature means he wont have calmed down. He also needs to make sure he's not surrounded by "yes men" telling him he was hard done by. He needs to draw a line. (we saw that in MotoGP with VR46 in 2015 where the aggrieved spends a week winding themselves up and then it gets the better of them on race day - but I digress)

Max will be max, overdriving left right and centre

Mercedes fluked that (much like Southgate)

Ferrari are still checking how many pit stops for CLC

Oscar will keep his nose clean and end up leading I think biggrin

Now the important question. Sky or CH4?

Croft is not as good as Jacques.
Brundle is equal to Coulthard
Ant and Bernie are awesome.
Leigh is better than Lazenby but both are better than Jones
Ch4 will probably have Eddie fking jordan!

Thanks PiaP

Went for Norris. Would love to see him win his home race. Just needs to find a way past Max…

We’ll be there on Sunday to watch the Red Arrows (weather permitting) before racing home to watch the race.

Hopefully a sprinkling of rain here and there to make tyre choice tricky/volatile.

It would be ironic if all three days were dry, something that has happened so infrequently in Britain this 'summer' rolleyes

Thanks for the thread PiaP, I’m just going for, hopefully a Brit for the win, or if we really need cheering up after the week ahead, an all Brit podium.

Good to see some competition for the win, what lots of us want smile

Thanks PiaP! You have earned your Tour - enjoy it!

Max will win this, waftily, sadly.

Voted for Norris though.

Max on Pole, Lando starts P2, Lando round the outside of Max on lap 1 into Copse and the world holds it's breath?

My heart says Lando, so I'll stick with that!

Have to watch the highlights Monday and avoid the thread for spoilers.

Hope for a all out British podium, that would be special!

Well on recent form, I'd say the Mclaren will have the best race pace but Verstappen will get pole. Which should make things interesting again, if correct. I just hope Norris hasn't been intimidated by Verstappen's driving last weekend; it feels like make or break time with regards to whether he now backs off and gives Verstappen more room, which would be a mistake IMO, or stands his ground.

Hopefully Ferrari can recover from their recent appalling run of form and get somewhere in the mix as well.

Hoping Lando if he can focus his frustration but could easily be Oscar too.
