I don't get it. It was a great race, lots of close racing, LH coming from P10-P2, there was even a battle for the lead.

I saw lots of fans in the stands on the TV coverage.

I think some people want some sort of confirmation bias due to not liking Liberty's direction. The organisation was garish to the extreme I'm happy to put up with it.

Another 6 years of Monaco - remind me what happened at the Monaco GP this year.

I enjoyed the race but you have to agree that the interview/prize giving procedure was crass, convoluted in the extreme and there was no one there to watch it.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the comments here, because it looked undeniably Vegas to me.

Or are you meaning more how generic and bland the circuit itself appeared?
Me too! (ahem)

The Sphere doing its thing, multiple long shots from helicopters showing the various hotels beside the track. Yeah the close ups could have been Singapore. But that's the nature.

Would people prefer they paint the track is garish colours?
I must admit, I did spot a few nods around the track that hinted it was Vegas - easy to miss, I suppose, if you weren’t really paying attention. biggrin

Apparently a crowd of 304,000 over the race weekend. Good to see that George has now got 10% of the poll vote now!

Crashes come out of their operational budget, thats expensive to fix so affects other things, like how many people they can take to races? Are they running a smaller team?

Indeed so. Many wide shots of building and logos that made it quite clear where they were racing and who was sponsoring the event.

Yes it’s Vegas, garish and over-the-top is kinda their thing. Monaco is great on Saturday and when it pours with rain, otherwise it’s a procession with cars that outgrew the place several decades ago.

The venue was bland, but the racing was good. I'll take that ratio any day of the week.

+1
The Classic is by far the best week in the MC calender and we even prefer it to the tennis.

Smaller cars = greater passing opportunities.

Monaco Classic.

Overtaking is still rare as rocking horse poo, but the variety of the cars makes the event.

Ah yes, would love to go and see the Classic. Cars that fit on the track, and don’t have so much downforce so they go around the corners sideways!

late to the party here. Loved the race. Well done George on the win - flawless drive - and congrats Max on a fantastic season.

Was great to see Lewis back up there, just a shame he fluffed quali

The post race stuff was a bizarre, drawn out, awkward affair - hopefully something less clunky next year.
