Should be an interesting season, I’m expecting lots of protesting other cars from RB if they are lower down the field, and a return to type from their lead driver, team radio could get spicysmile
No swearing through.
I'd love it if they created some fake swear words to get around the censors.
"That fecker just pushed me wide. What a cranker!"

Thanks PIAP - always a smile when I see the new race thread smile

Looking forward to this season - would like a Norris or Hamilton win but just hoping it's all close and fun to watch.

Also hoping the Williams pace in testing carries through to this weekend ...

Either old English swear terms, or spoonerisms.

10 days to go before we even see the first wheel turn. Can the overexcited maintained it, or will they collapse into exhaustion before the lights go out lol.

I land in Sydney 8pm Saturday night for work and am seriously tempted to fly in and out on Sunday to attend as can get hold of a couple of tickets, just dreading doing two more flights on Sunday, then Melbourne and back on Weds before home on Friday as think that will break me!

If it’s any consolation, I thought the same when the thread started smile

I've purposely stayed clear of all the pre-season.

The first 3 races will be my time to learn, so my penny contribution is a complete guess.

I've gone for Oscar. I want McL to do well, but last season I completely went off Lando. I can't quite pinpoint why.

Really want Lewis to do well this season. If I was a betting man I would put money on him finishing the end of the 26 season still with 7 championships and retiring, but it would be nice if I was proven wrong.

Hopefully a lot of the teams will be in contention this season, and if that is the case, I see Max coming out on top most of the time, where machinery allows!

Ill be up early for this as I force feed myself before 6am ready for a long haul of nil by mouth!

Happy viewing everyone, hope this season is a cracker!

If it is closely fought, I expect Max to be doing a helluvalot of contemplation over the pros and cons of different scenarios prior to every race - carefully analysing the Red Bull strengths and weaknesses and whether it is preferable/beneficial to take another driver of the race or not. In other words, back to his modus operandi.

Yes, I really do think he does have that fragile, cynical and unsportsmanlike mindset.

No option for Sainz in the poll. I think he'll be fighting for podiums.

You realise Sainz isn't driving for Ferrari this year right? Or do you mean a podium in F1.5 ? biglaugh

It wouldn't entirely surprise me if Carlos gets a podium at some point this year, but it will likely take some misfortune to others or some freak weather or something to allow it to happen.

Wouldn't it be great to start the season with an all-Brit podium, in whatever order.

Life long Ferrari fan who doesn't like Hamilton, but hoping him and charles do the business this year.

I suspect it will be Mclarens year this year for both titles, unless they do a Ferrari and screw it up.

Can see Hamilton and Max clashing a lot for 3rd/4th.

I actually quite like getting up in the early hours to watch a GP, no distractions, just me and the dogs cuddled up on the sofa watching it.

Welcome back everyone and that seemed a short break!

I was going to pick Norris but if I just have a feeling that he's going to drop the ball as much as I don't want him to. My second choice would be Max because well you can't write him off at all. Then if I pick Lewis it will go wrong for him so I don't want to jinx it so I've gone with George.

It might be an absolute classic of a season this with everyone hopefully being close together and Lewis in red a couple of newbies to shake things up and hopefully Mohammad I don't know what, basically pieces of somewhere else!

I like Australia being the first race of the season it reminds me of growing up and always getting up at something like four o'clock for all the sessions. I think like most of us I want that magic back and it's probably never going to happen because the FIA has become even more tainted but I'm going to try and enjoy it as much as possible nonetheless.

Like last year I have put a couple of very small bets on just for the hell of it. I've got for the championship wins; 5p on each of Lewis, merc and Ferrari.
