On the other hand, I can easily believe he has a lot more fun actually battling for the title. Assuming he does win it this year, I have zero doubt he'll be forever thankful it didn't come easy.
Sure, that's why he's kept Bottas for 5 years hehe

He didn't enjoy battling with Rosberg, but it's cute to see some people believing Hamilton's rhetoric

Having two genuine title contenders was a bigger headache for Mercedes/Toto than it was for Hamilton.

It is boring, rather than cute, to see your continued mis-informed bilge. If you wish to make this unsubstantiated claim then produce your proof that Hamilton has any say at all in who drives the other Mercedes.

You're even crap at trolling, despite so much practice. But I feel generous today so have a 2/10.

Max isnt good enough to match Hamilton, he doesnt posess the mental capacity & foresight to do so, Bahrain showed this, he’s been in F1 since 2015, if he hasnt got it by now he never will.

What aloud of old tosh.

He started when he was 17 in a non championship winning car. Can’t you remember some of the stupid things you got up to at 17.

Redbull strategy screwed him at Bahrain.

Lewis doesn’t have the mental capacity to match Max, Imola showed this ?

Hamilton has influence over Mercedes car Pantone and its Number 2 driver.

Or in VB's case, his Number 3

biggrin

It's a way to describe a colour or a shade with a code.

He is trying and failing to be funny about Ham telling Merc to have the car in black. Which obviously never happened.

Since when did that matter to Sparta?

Ah, okay, thanks.

So Hamilton is managing the team as well as driving the car, in Sparta's mind?

Impressive.

Makes him all the more remarkable, doesn't it? F1 7 time champion, team manager, talent scout, car stylist, there's no end to his skill sets - no wonder Sparta5/6/7 is such a closet fan wink

So you are suggesting that with Lewis's dimished mental capacity to out smart Max he also does all of the above ? or is it because he does all of the above he cant compete with Max's mental prowess ?

Where did I say he has a "diminished mental capacity"? He's out raced & outsmarted Verstappen many more times than the opposite, the opening race of the season for starters. They're both extremely talented individuals, but some posters seem to think Hamilton also controls aspects of the Mercedes team when it's been clearly articulated by those actually in charge that's not the case, yet never seem to make the same case for other drivers, who obviously do have, or had, an influence on the other driver in the team. It gets boring, as others have also said.
