Silverstone Sunday Service 28/10

A perennial Sunday Service favourite returns in a couple of weeks - here's how to be there

If you've been to one of our Silverstone Sunday Services before, you're likely to be eagerly awaiting this article to get signed up for the next. If you haven't, then join us for an action packed morning at one of the most iconic circuits in the UK.

As an F1 venue, Silverstone is the perfect circuit for your first track outing; it's a wide, open circuit, with plenty of visibility and (generally) plenty of run off. If you just want to spectate, then come and walk around the paddock, stand on the pit wall and listen to the cars fly past or grab a seat in the BRDC grandstand and watch PHers propel themselves into the Brooklands and Luffield complex. It's quite a spectacle and we've got the place all to ourselves.

There will be six track sessions over the course of the morning, with a maximum of 30 cars on track per session, priced at just £45 a time. The sessions are split into two groups - novice and intermediate - catering for first-timers and more experienced drivers. The noise limit is 102db drive by and helmets will be available to hire at £10 each if you don't have your own.

There will be a £2 entry fee per car at this event, with all proceeds going to our friends at Mission Motorsport. Please head over to the PistonHeads garage once you're parked up to pay your fee and peruse our stickers and merchandise.

To book the track sessions, head to this page and use code Piston28 to get our discounted price of £45 per session. Alternatively you can call 03443 728 235 and quote the same code. Please also remember to sign yourself up on our calendar if you're going out on track, as everyone attending needs to be registered.

So whether you're coming along to spectate and have a wander around the cars parked up or you're heading out on track, get yourself signed up to the calendar here to secure your space. As usual, please only sign up if you're 100 per cent sure you can come as you'll otherwise be stopping other members from attending.

Food and refreshments will be available onsite from Silverstone's cafe; we'll be there for coffee and brekky bright and early. Like all on track activities, this event will be subject to stoppages and weather conditions. Fingers crossed for sunshine!

See you there!

The PH Team.

I can't remember, do passengers just have to book on, on the day?

Wish there was a calendar for this like in the good old days. I’ve made plans now.

102db rather dampens things. A standard exhaust Ferrari 360 is 105, for example.

They don't do a static reading so you'll only get black flagged IF trip to db meters around the track.

Possibly. I was thinking about maybe getting an AirBnB for the Saturday night but going to wait and see what the weather forecast is like before I decide. I'll keep you posted. smile

Sorry if it's a stupid question and I just haven't read it properly.
