Abarth Sunday Service 31/03

Abarth turns 70 in 2019; time for a PH birthday party!

Number two in the 2019 Sunday Service calendar is quite a special one - it's Abarth's 70th birthday and we thought it'd be great fun to celebrate with the old timers! But don't worry, there'll be no classical music and we doubt we'll be playing bowls in the car park...

So, on 31st March (its actual birthday!) we'll be heading to Abarth's HQ in Slough, where the celebrations will begin. There will be space for 150 cars, so make sure you get yourself signed up quickly to avoid disappointment! Abarth will have the 124 GT, 595 and 695 models on show, as well as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia Quadrifoglio and Jeep Wrangler for us to have a good poke around. If you fancy a go in one of the noisy little 595s, then there will be test drive opportunities throughout the morning.

Of course, no birthday party would be complete without pizza, and no Sunday Service would be complete without coffee, which is why they've got a pizza van and a coffee van in to keep us all happy. They'll also be opening the Mopar store, so if you have a hankering some American V8 swag, you are more than welcome to buy away.

The event will begin at 0900h and will finish up at around 1400h. If this sounds like the event for you, like it does for us, then get yourself signed up here. Allocation is limited at 150 spaces, so avoid disappointment and hit that sign up button!

Date: Sunday 31st March 2019
Cost: None, but we like biscuits...
Time: 0900-1400hish
Space: 150 cars

Address:
Fiat House
240 Bath Road
Slough
Berkshire
SL1 4DX

Sign up via the calendar here.

I wish they'd celebrate with an Abarth 500X.

Ahh, the history, glamour and excitement of Abarth as exemplified by *checks notes* Bath Road in Slough.

If I can convince the owner, a good friend of mine, to bring it.. and, more importantly.. if he thinks it could make it (it is over 60 years old..!) then I can pretty much guarantee I'll be in the rarest Abarth there.. wink

Is that the one I saw in Farnham on a wet October Sunday ?

I didn't get to see it up close when parked ,so bringing it along gets my vote.

1 of 3 made isn't it ?

It'll be the standout highlight for me if you and friend bring it .

The 500 Abarth kids won't have a clue what it is.

I can see why the Zagato was put into production instead. Still a crazy looking car!

Despite bing k here for years I've never made a Sunday service but I've got my name down for this one. I'm going to caffeine and machine on the Saturday with my local abarth club so it's looking like a good weekend.

We would love to see this car on the day! If you succeed, we are very happy to put the car up front for the event!

As forewarned there are 10 Abarth owners on the list that joined after the owners club said they didn't have room and they should join PH and use their allocation. That means 10 "ordinary" PH members wont get in.
If they stay and continue to support PH after the event I'm OK with that, but if not it seems a tad harsh and unfair

Thats a shame that the abarth club would say that but there are some that have signed up for the event and have a zero post count but have been lurking for years, everyone uses the site differently.

Agreed. That's why I only counted 10 (There are more than 10 Abarths signed up) there are 10 that have joined in March 2019

Believed 3, possibly 4, made but, as far as we know, only 2 still in existence..
