PistonHeads Sunday Service Calendar 2019

We've already organised the same number of events for 2019 as we had in 2018 so I'm a bit surprised to see that people are disappointed
Granted a few less Sunday Services as we wanted to add in a bit more variety, but there's certainly no less effort or willingness from the team here.
It has been more challenging the last couple of years to secure venues and dates for Sunday Services, which has made it more challenging to release a full calendar for the year. It has only really been the last 2/3 years that we put on a calendar for the year; before that most events were only released on site a couple of weeks before the event.
Perhaps a lot of people aren't seeing our main event calendar so I'll add that in here too so it's more visible.
So have you re-tried Morgan, Vauxhall, Ford Dagenham, Ginetta, Brooklands, Prodrive et all??Granted a few less Sunday Services as we wanted to add in a bit more variety, but there's certainly no less effort or willingness from the team here.

Perhaps also try other places such as classic car cafes or different venues? Examples such as: Sywell Aerodrome - just has Pistons & Props: beautiful place owned by a petrolhead (Bletsoe Brown) or Classic Motor Hub in Bibury?

I think i was feeling grouchy, due to no Silverstone or Brands SS's. They were my favourites. MB world also.

You and me both! We were gutted about Silverstone, MBW now want to charge us and Brands didn't happen this year as we were at Oulton on the weekend instead. But we'll be trying hard to get these back on the calendar for next year, promise!Blipi said:

Yes. Jack leads the charge on organising these but has been speaking to pretty much all of the above with little success for 2019. Classic Motor Hub is on our radar but perhaps not for December in their field...Perhaps also try other places such as classic car cafes or different venues? As I recall PH weren’t invited back to MBW on account of the driving of a few who like to have people looking at them when they leave , and so exit via launch control.
People have a habit of booking these events on the PH calendar and not turning up. You should take a payment of a £5 and donate to charity if you don’t want to take something for running it. Free stuff inevitably always compromised by the few.

The final Sunday Service of the year is here!
We're heading to Thruxton Motorsport Centre (in conjunction with Mission Motorsport) on 8th December, where time on the skid pan is available for a donation to Mission Motorsport.
The calendar is now live for everyone to sign up, but the article with full details of the day will be arriving on Monday (I'll post here again when it's up). Click here to sign yourself up

You want me to trawl through a subsection looking for a thread of which I don’t know the name? Good one.
And you want me to do all the leg work for you in an inactive sub section with 2 active threads! You are aware if you select the link and click copy and then paste in your browser it works.
Slag of PHSS and then take a swipe at someone trying to help you suggest events to benefit you what a lovely individual.

In fairness you piped up in response to a post I made with a link that doesn’t work and then came back with a smart arse response. You are aware if you select the link and click copy and then paste in your browser it works.

You’re obviously a bit of an idiot. I bet you live down south and don’t have to travel for hours on end to go to a breakfast event where everyone buggers off at 10:30am because they live 45 minutes away.
Been there, me and my friends have done it many a time. Point being we need more northern stuff.

I’m not sure what is piping up or being a smart arse about my responses I politely suggested there’s a thread running for suggestions I then provided a link which I’m not sure is happening but it works on my device when I use it. And then I had the nerve to suggest it’s in a small hardly used sub forum which this thread is already in.
I don’t like that the Manchester historic vehicle club meet in Manchester so what do I do I go to the London historic car club. It’s great that Pistonheads put on these events but for the days I can’t go or don’t want to travel as far and still want a motoring fix I find another event. There’s plenty of users on here that live overseas and I don’t see them complaining regarding events not being near them.
FFS!! Everybody should be grateful that PH organise anything at all. It's not easy getting places to open up to a group of people that are on the whole appreciative but have that goodwill eroded by a minority being stupid when leaving. Yes, there are a lot more things down south but if that's where stuff actually is then tough. Nobody is forcing people to go to these events and let's not forget IT'S FREE!
If a charge is made and that deters people from not turning up after they have taken a place then most would say that's a good idea.
P.S can I put myself down now for Aston Martin next year ? Thank you

I wonder what is easier, having a half page long argument with somebody, or just stating the name of the bloody thread you are on about. And then I had the nerve to suggest it’s in a small hardly used sub forum which this thread is already in.
