EVENT UPDATE

It really is a strange feeling how much time has passed now without any PH events. I'm pleased to announce that we do now have two events lined up for 2020, although not strictly Sunday Services.

Brands Hatch track evening, 12th August – We have 40 spaces at the first ever official PistonHeads track evening at Brands Hatch with MSVT. This isn't a meet and only for those going out on track, more details here: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/trackdays-pistonh...

Silverstone Saturday Service, 21st November – We'll be holding a Saturday Service at Silverstone circuit at the MotorsportDays Live event with track time available. Attendance to the event is free, with two track sessions for those wishing to book being £70. Spaces will be limited and we'll set up an event in the calendar for people to sign up closer to the event, but more details on the event and track time are available here: https://www.motorsportdays.live/track-performance-...

We're looking forward to seeing you later in the year! biggrin

2020 UPDATE

After much consideration and discussion internally and with event partners, we are no longer going to hold or attend any events in 2020. We understand that this will be disappointing for our members as it is for us, but ultimately the health and safety of our staff and community has to come first.

We don't feel in the current environment that it would be responsible to gather hundreds of people together at an event and as a result, events are on hold until we feel it is safe to start running them again.

We're looking forward to catching up with many of you next year, when it is safe to do so.

Holy thread revival! I've tweaked this thread to make it a more general suggestions thread for future Sunday Services, as it's already full of lots of great suggestions.

We've already got a couple confirmed for next year, but where else would you like to see us going in 2023?

Pro drive would be amazing again if they’d have us back, xtrac gearboxes would be cool to look around. BMW UK whilst done to death no doubt it’s great as a winter weather location.

You really need to do Lotus.
And Mercedes Benz world ought to be your spiritual home. That’s a great venue with loads of parking and proper catering on site.

Brooklands would want a full admission price to enter but you can always visit after the Mercedes Sunday service .

  • Rolls Royce factory at Goodwood
  • Gordon Murray Automotive's new HQ
  • McLaren Technology Centre
  • Caterham Cars
  • Mercedes Benz World (again)
  • Brands Hatch
  • Silverstone/Porsche Experience Centre
  • Morgan factory (again)
  • Bicester Heritage

Thanks all! Silverstone have categorically said they won't do any more third party events/track days, so that's no longer an option sadly and I've struggled ever since to find a circuit that would run taster sessions in the same format.

Lotus was in the diary for this year, but got pulled last minute. Lets hope it's back on for 2023. Mercedes-Benz World is already confirmed for next year and I'm in talks with several venues on your list Jeremy, so watch this space!

Keep the suggestions coming thumbup

Could perhaps try some of the small specialists - Workshop Seventy7 would be interesting

Or a small manufacturer like Wells? (who make the Vertige)

What about some of the detailers? Auto Finesse? GTechniq? Something like that?

I know Silverstone won’t do any more track days, which is a shame. But how about the Silverstone Museum? Still has a massive car park outside, on-site cafe and some really cool and interesting cars to look at… (Ideal if it’s raining!)

What about the Porsche Experience Centre (without any track sessions)? We've had a very enjoyable Sunday Service there in the past.

Some great suggestions and small businesses are often looked at, but the challenge they have is very limited parking. We generally aim for 250 cars minimum, which smaller businesses struggle to cater for.

On the list for next year (another one that was supposed to happen this year that was postponed) thumbup
