Hi I haven’t received an email and my McLaren 12c no longer appears to be on this list? It was on the list for 9am

You might be confusing the main event list with the skid pan list – I can see you're still on that for 09:00 https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I've sent you and ZnZ the email again just now so hopefully it'll come through this time!

Skid pan

Just a reminder to those who've put their name down for the skid pan – please arrive at the Thruxton Centre to make your £10 donation and head over to the skid pan for your briefing at least 15 minutes before your session.

Any no shows will still be expected to pay their £10 as Mission Motorsport are running this to raise funds for the charity. It's currently fully booked but in the case that there are any no shows, speak to the team inside the Thruxton Centre just in case any spots become available.

Weather is looking good once the early drizzle is out of the way – see you all in the morning!

For the ‘enthusiastic’ amongst us beware.
There are often mobile speed camera vans on the A303....

And keep your speed down as you pass my house ;-)

Thanks for organising another enjoyable SS. The skid pan was a lot of fun.
The Mission Motorsport chaps were great I hope they raised a decent amount.

(Still waiting for a call to let me know that I have won the raffle).

Thanks to everyone for coming out and sticking with us until the rain had passed! Cracking new venue for us that I'm sure we'll be returning to. Big thanks to everyone that put their hands in their pockets to support Mission Motorsport too.

I think the draw may end up happening tomorrow now, so apologies if you can't get any sleep tonight while you wait hehe

Thanks for a great morning at Thruxton, really enjoyed myself, and the skidpan too. Hope plenty was raised for Mission Motorsport! Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks to all for making it happen, great selection of cars as always. Still recovering from the shock of the white Jetta in the tunnel. I thought my F Type was loud, but was like a milk float in comparison.

Looking forward to 2020 events already. smile

Great morning, thanks PH

Nice to see the red m3 make his own skid pan on his way out ;-)

That was a superb PH event. Cheers for the team and Mission Motorsport for putting it together!

It's certainly a skid pan I'll consider in the future in another car, unless there is a closer one to Warwickshire smile. Even the journey down wasn't too bad from a time perspective.

It's that kind of behaviour that gets us banned from returning to venues like this when we work so hard to put these events on for free. There's a time and a place – driving irresponsibly at one of our events is neither as it just ruins it for everyone else when we can't go back. People who behave in such a way will be and have been banned.

It was a massive coned off area with no people, so not much risk apart from hitting a cone...as a first time visitor to thruxton and a regular at Pod drift days, the area looked like it had actually been set up for drift practice!! Maybe that's just me...

(I'm not the M3 driver btw, just my 2p)

Shame some people left during the drizzle, I don't understand that way of thinking. Was a great assortment of cars and watching people on the skid pan was hilarious. Cheers

He was doing it within about 15ft of a line of parked cars - and cones wouldn't have done anything if he'd lost it. It was an idiotic thing to do.

There was absolutely plenty of space, if you 'lose it' from doing a very low speed donut hugging the inside cone you'd literally stop within a foot, simples
