Driving past Geri Halliwell's house near where my daughter used to go to school, a large Jag pulled out behind me. Geri was driving it wearing a chauffeurs cap and she waved at my daughter who was a big Spice Girls fan at the time.

Does he still have his Ferrari, IIRC he had the plate MAG1C on it...

he clearly moves the plate around:

I expect so.

When Atkinson nearly killed me, I remember he had the plate COM1C on his Integrale. Only a true car nerd would worry about the number plate whilst narrowly avoiding death or mutilation. nerd

I was side by side with Jay Kay (lightly disguised in a flat cap and sunglasses) in a black Panamera going North on the M40, near Princes Risborough. He gave a smile and a nod once he'd realised I'd clocked him - although I was more interested in the front brakes to be fair.

I also saw the Chuckle Brothers in a transit van in Swansea. They didn't smile, however, which is a bit of a sauce given their 'professional' title.

I've seen Chris Eubank in his Peterbilt when I lived in Brighton. Oh and saw Jimmy Saville in his Rolls Royce regularly when I lived in suburban Berkshire. Would have been hard to miss either, frankly.

Alain Prost got out of a 5 door Audi A3 and walked past me as I was waiting outside the departure terminal at Geneva airport a good few years ago (2000/2001)

Walked out of a newsagents in Lanellli a good few years back and outside was Jeremy Clarkson in a silver Monaro asking an old dude for directions. Top Gear were in the area filming an epsiode, IIRC it was the episode involving the Monaro (obviously), 300c and S Type.

Interesting... Google backs this up, but I am sure Rowan owned it at some point... it featured on (presumably his Aston) in his film "The Tall Guy"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098436/trivia "the Tall Guy"

The car that races to the Hospital at the end of the film (a blue Aston Martin registration "COMIC") belonged to Rowan Atkinson. Dexter is pulled over by the police for speeding, just in the same way Atkinson was in real life, in the very same car. Atkinson received a driving ban as a result of the incident.

Billy Connelly in a Range Rover. Alan Shearer in an Aston DB7. Elizabeth Windsor in a Roller, but no number plates. Can't think of any more, not very good for nearly 40 years of being on the planet.

A mate of mine claims to have nearly been run over by Chick Young (BBC Scotland Football pundit), that's more like it!

That's because you interrupted them during their 'normal' job as private detectives. They were on a stakeout.

He couldn't have been going very fast or else you'd have been dead: I had an Integrale of similar vintage and the brakes were rubbish. But the beauty of the Integrale was that you didn't often use the brakes!

There is a picture on the Internet of him driving it too, will have to find and post up!

Amazingly, his brother Noel who can't drive has a classic chocolate brown Rolls Royce! Rock n roll! biggrin

Saw Paul Daniels in a 308 with the MAG1C Plate at Wookey Hole many years ago.
