With what ive got the GTi will get me about 200 miles. The sad fact is if I was to transfer the fuel into my 1.4 it wouldnt get me any further just a lot slower.

Civic 300 miles
Bike 150 miles + 150 miles in reserve
LR1 250 miles
LR2 +500 miles (twin tank) + 1200 miles of backup fuel

That's before despiration kicks in and I touch the heating oil. Which of course I would never do.....

wink

In the red now, so maybe 30 miles left. It's 60 miles to get home, so the sainsburys by work that had no fuel yesterday best had do today!

If there is a fuel crisis (perceived or not) maybe a good idea to use less fuel.
1 I read that 40% of motorists never check their tyre pressures. Pump them up. Use less fuel, less tyre wear, less accidents.
2 Don't tailgate. You won't have to brake every 50 yards thereby saving fuel, brakes, tyres, chipped windscreens, road rage, accidents etc etc etc
3 Dump the junk in the boot etc
Of course many other ways to save fuel but these cost nothing and don't involve doing less miles

I'm going to struggle a bit but have a cunning plan

Countach 2 gallons = 16 miles
Vantage 3 gallons = 33 miles
RS4 5 gallons = 115 miles

So the fix

Just bought a Suzuki Burgman 400 so 3 gallons= 210 miles

And if I can siphon the others that's an extra 700 miles hehehehe!

About 3000 miles.

If I suck the fuel out of all the cars, lawnmower and generator. And stick it in the Di-blasi folding moped, 150mpg at 30mph.

Think I would rather walk to be honest!

I probably have under 5 miles.. the light came on quite a while ago.
Being the dynamic genius that I am, I went out to get fuel, got distracted, got some fish and chips then drove home again without filling up.

Arse.

I think I might be able to squeeze 750 miles out of my two cars if they are both full.
