Hire car - The Doblo

I have just reserved a Focus for the summer holiday but am becoming less optimistic it will be big enough in the back for a child seat (3 yr old), booster seat (6 year old) and a 12 year old.
The only affordable option (Centauro) is a Fiat Doblo (which is annoying as the Kangoo and Berlingo are probably perfectly good options). It does appear to have more space than a Focus and rear sliding doors which would be desirable. I doubt I will be indulging in much spirited driving and my last hire vehicle was a Mercedes Vito.
So what are they like, anyone ever touched one with a ten foot barge pole?
Seems to be a 1.3 Multijet diesel.
