As a student in London, I had no money and wasn't aloud to buy a car after I passed my test.

So I immediately went out and purchased a Ford Cortina Mark 3 for £150. 1600L 4 door saloon.

Picture of my superbly executed modifications below. I was 18 and completed the transformation for the huge sum of about £75 including welding the doors shut, rivets, paint, filler, a tent for a hood and a pair of Ford Anglia tail lights and some fins.

Circa 1988. So I now had a 4 seat convertible.

Chip Foose eat you heart out.

It could be seen parked on the streets of Marylebone and Islington for 3 years whilst I owned it. Usually full of discarded fag buts and some rain.

Perfect car.

Yeah, absolutely love that! My perfect little car I think... or best iteration of what I have in my head, so far produced (Clio V6 owner).

Z Cars seem quiet these days but an internet search seems to suggest they are still going: https://www.zcars.org.uk/

That Canadian Mini price tag is ridiculous. Z cars were doing similar 20 years ago.

At least it should be reliable. My mate's dad had one of those when we were kids and I swear it spent more time on the drive with its engine out than it did actually moving.

Not a car, but interesting nonetheless. A friend of mine was at this Thanksgiving's Daytona Speedway Turkey-Run.
1931 Helms Twin-Coach delivery van, owned by Wayne's Citrus Cycles, here in FL. It has modern underpinnings, including a 351 Cleveland/C6 trans.

indeed, bargain price, great engine, lovely clean engine bay, close it and race it, classic/modern, Restomod, that should go very fast.

a little bit to much changes, to track build, but otherwise looks like nice pocket rocket with such Ford Escorth Cosworth engine and AWD and 450bhp Ford Fiesta mk2, it looks a bit like a early VW Golf.
