Because he started out with multiple car restorations and interviews, rather than concentrating one thing and doing that well (and the production is of great quality given it is a one man show) This broad appeal approach means that you often don't appeal enough to anyone and if you don't pick up the subscribers in the early days I suspect you will continue to struggle.

I have been with SOUP from the start but will admit to skipping the interviews and the VW van. Stayed with it because of the RRC and the Lotus.

Interesting vid but a shame we only get to see one side of the story. The valet manager could reasonably be just collecting and delivering the car and no doubt drives multiple supercars so has little motivation to take it out on a joyride.
