Surely the point the lambo driver reached in and slapped him/the camera then subaru driver had been assaulted?
Yes 45 mins of following the lambo was maybe excessive but if you lay hands on someone and it's all on camera then you've escalated the incident and you'll end up coming off worse.
Your attitude is why we don't have nice things and why America is full of lawsuits.Yes 45 mins of following the lambo was maybe excessive but if you lay hands on someone and it's all on camera then you've escalated the incident and you'll end up coming off worse.

Afternoon/Evening time. Are the foreign cars still around then and what time of the day is the best to go to see them?
Apparantly, there are some nice museums, restaurants and a few interesting things to see.
However, I guess hanging around Harrods all day with an IPhone is an option.

I have heard there are also some interesting things you could do during a trip to London.

Leave him alone would ya! Apparantly, there are some nice museums, restaurants and a few interesting things to see.

Maybe his son doesn't like museums or remotely interested in going to a restaurant.
You did read the bit about his son wanting to see these cars, didn't you?

Take him to Stringfellows then so he turns his back on the way of the Thermos!!
I've got the answer!
You can see hundreds of rare, exotic cars on display
Historic and modern race cars are able to drive as fast as they can just yards away from the crowds!
You can walk right up to the cars and photograph them as much as you like without looking like a complete berk!
The answer
Genius.

That's a stupid answer, it's a lot more expensive and harder to get to...You can see hundreds of rare, exotic cars on display

I suppose it's relative. If you saved money by not going to London to look a total plonker in all weathers chasing after Supercars in dense traffic like a lovesick child every weekend then the £46 Friday entry isn't too bad in my opinion.
If you then factor in that whilst you may see up to a dozen supercars in London in one day vs. the hundreds (literally) that you would see in the space of a few miles walk at the FOS then your typical London excursion starts to look a bit more 'stupid'. There will be 40+ Supercars in the dedicated paddock alone. That excludes the race cars, show stands, rally cars, aviation displays...
Then there's the timing. Ugh, it only comes around once a year and it costs soooo much money. But - you are at least guaranteed to see something special. Rather than in London where, standing around with an iPad / iPhone you are only guaranteed to look special.

You really do know so little, it's 60 just to get in (for an adult), then the price of getting down there? Train would take a few and it be super expensive, fuel would be another £80 ish, depending on what car you drive etc, so that's already £140 and then there's food etc, all adds up... It's much easier to go in the SUN and see endless cars about, it's much better to see a car in traffic then out on a track, or parked up with ropes around them etc... The only special people are the people like you who seem to take the piss even through this is a car forum...

You seem to be focusing on the price. You're forgetting what you get for that entry cost - and no, it doesn't include a free sandwich.
£60 on Saturday or Sunday. I've been a few times now and after a short break (last went in 2012) I'm going to try and go again this year, and I'm skint. I'm going to aim for the Friday as it's cheaper to get in (£46) and all the static stuff will be there but with a (hopefully) smaller crowd.
And cars look better in traffic or parked up in the street than they do thrashing it up a hillclimb or on a specifically-designed display stand? Put down the crack pipe!
Start saving now as you've still got over a month. Honestly, I think if people with your mindset attended something like the FOS just once you would have an epiphany.

PM me if you are interested, and I'll let you know what day/time I'm travelling down, and which route I shall take.
(Oh, sorry. My car's a Mondeo Titanium X TDCi 163, by the way. Very rare, and you'll never see one in London. I won't charge you for photos... )

I'm going to jump in and offer some useful advice, by 14th June there won't actually be much out and about although the cars that are here will hang around until Ramadan starts at the end of the month. So you will find some of the cars from the Middle-East but most will come after the Ramadan period in the first part of August, if not late July. Are the foreign cars still around then and what time of the day is the best to go to see them?

For what it's worth, the majority of people spend time enjoying seeing cars in London do also head down to FOS for multiple days, and the entire weekend where they can. After all, it's one of the best events of the year.Shmee said:
