Oh st... I like this. Do I need to see someone?!

Peel of the barbwire stickers (although probably a bit of a red light in relation to its previous owner's mindset) and we could be in business.
I’ve been in touch with your doctor and optician, apparently you can see but should get a covid test as lack of taste is a major symptom

£25k for an 18 year old SLK200 that hasn't had an MOT in nearly 4 years.

Advert for the SLK has been pulled from Autotrader, but still up on the dealer website.

I wonder if you could use the price promise to knock at least £15k off the price, an SLK320 with similar miles for £9995.

I've got 2 of these both Kompressors and in silver /black leather. One needs an abs pump and the other fuelling issues. Good bodywork and interior on both.
With 12 months mot likely worth £1500 each tops..

And don’t tell us - they’re newer and lower mileage than the two above?

No they're older and higher mileage. The one with the abs problem we took it in for £500.
Youre very obviously not used to realistic prices and more than likely pay over the odds for everything.
If you want the custard test (Birds) just say the word and I'll show you both cars complete with invoices..

The 52 plate one we have I did actually pay the exact £500 for it.
Up and running with 12 months mot (when I can be bothered to get around to it) would be a realistic £1500
Its all its worth.
We price cars realistically and fairly, it's the reason we sell hundreds each year. If we've had a car for sale for a week, it's a week too long.
We don't look for big profit but sell on volume and it's a good buisness model which I've earnt a small fortune out of. I have a circa £750k - £850k house (no mortgage) with 5 bedrooms, 3 ensuites, a gym, a 6 car garage, parking for 14 others and 4 acres of ground situated in a private deer park with no neighbours and I owe absolutely nothing, I don't even have a credit card.
All by selling under market value Realistically priced cars... winkbiggrin

Even your house is cheaper than anything anyone else could buy. £750k where I live (not London) gets you a 5-bed detached house with not even 1/2 an acre.

I’m still waiting for a mint, low mileage BMW 530i Champagne edition for less than £5k. Let me know when you find me one.

I expect you’re extremely pleased with yourself. Does ‘(no mortgage)’ and ‘deer park’ get added to the powerfully built company director meme now?

Nothing is overpriced if it sells for that amount.
Nowt queer as folk, however.
I was almost given (£2,500) a 1982 Citroen Dyane last year, mostly restored and i put perhaps 20 hours of my time into it and no money, virtually. I probably spent £150 quid in bits, the rest was time.
A woman from Cornwall transferred me £9,500, just from seeing 3 photos i sent her and paid me £300 to deliver it as she had no time to travel, collect, insure, etc. (Property developer and loaded, methinks.) Paid me with no guarantee of getting the car. Mad.
The next day i had taken the car, had a pleasant train ride from Truro to Chester and was well happy with the sale.
Yes, I had advertised it deliberately high as i didn't particularly want to sell. Was it overpriced though? Maybe not, it sold in days. To a very happy buyer.

To me overpriced is one of 2 things. An actual example of a given car way too dear, OR a car that for some reason people spend stupid amounts on, when in reality the cars are slow, poor handling, badly made heaps. (Cortinas, early M3s, Sierra Cosworths, E Types, Dinos, all manner of stuff fetching loadsa dosh and pretty awful to actually drive anywhere).

I would love to know where £750,000 buys the guy above a house with 5 bedrooms, 3 en suites, 4 acres of prime land in a deer park, a gym, a 6 car garage and parking for 14 cars.
I don't live in an expensive city, but the smaller house i have, with no gym, less than half an acre of land, 2 en suites, parking for 4 cars and a double plus single garage was valued at £1.3M by Matthews of Chester this year.
His house must be on a remote island?

Well that kind of property he describes is 3 million pounds in Nantwich and 5 million in stockbroker belt London.

As soon as I saw this I thought "Lowland Scotland". And...

(no gym, but plenty of space for one)

or 800K for this (5 en-suites, gym, indoor pool, cinema room)

Check out this property I found using Daft: https://www.daft.ie/12419166

6 bed 7 baths 6500 sq/ft on 1.6 acres with a gym, bar and with a 125 m/sq garage in a very nice area

Plenty plenty more like that
