I was idly wondering if the truly hateful Cygnet had depreciated on down into the real world (a place it's not used to, admittedly).

Happening upon this this 2012 example for £38k assured me that no - no they have not.

I know they only pushed them out the door to meet emissions regulations - but it's still shocking. A couple of dealers trotting out the "one of only 150!" as if it's a limited edition or something, conveniently forgetting that Aston hoped to sell thousands but next to nobody was interested.

I'd also forgotten how crap the interior was, too. Grumble grumble.

The prices seem to have actually risen recently!

They have accrued quite a cult following it seems.

£38K does seem a bit 'toppy', especially for a private sale when AM dealers have cars £5k cheaper with full Aston warranty, funny really that they are probably the least depreciating 'normal' Aston, but then the production numbers are lower then some 'limited edition' Zagato cars and it would have been a better place to put your money than the Toyota it's based on.
