£3K bet on one result based on last Year's Manchester United squad?

£583 on BOTB ticket for one round?

"Loads" spent weekly on Lotto tickets?

OP you have a gambling problem. What's worse is that you're only 21 leaving me to question how the hell you are getting the money to comfortably bet this sort of account casually. I don't think my bank account had seen £3k when I was 21, let alone my William hill account!

My advise would be firstly to stop gambling. You've been lucky to get one big pay out from your gambling, millions of others won't get as fortunate. Take the vast majority of the Cash and put it directly into a house. With a large deposit hopefully you can stave off any issues a addictive personality may throw up in time, and then once the house is sorted Use the remaining money to lease a RS3 if that is really what you want. Consider yourself lucky to receive a windfall many could only dream of and look forward to building a successful life.

I was tempted to make a weekly BOTB, but if I've got to buy £583 worth AND require a great deal of luck I think I'll pass.

Actually, I'll just buy a few for a hellcat...

Well done OP - what's this, the third of fourth PHer to win BOTB?

I usually only play one or two tickets - I figure only one is on the right spot so no need to buy more!

Thanks

To be honest I am a bit of gambler, I spend crazy amounts on the lottery/euromillions each week, not winning anything noticeably big to shout about,

I seen last weeks picture and it just looked like a very good week to play but I couldn't pinpoint a specific section on the picture where the ball could be. - Most of pictures can be extremely complicated and difficult to predict - this seemed like one of the easier ones of recent times, I was confident about it but knew I had just spend big stand a very decent chance of winning. Thankfully I listened to my instincts and it paid off.

I believe a lot of people do take the cash option and some that do decide to keep the car end up regretting it due to all sorts of reasons, such as not being able to run the car properly upon various of other reasons,

I was contemplating at spending thousands on one game a few months ago but chickend out at the prospect of losing. BOTB changed the rules meaning you can only play 150 tickets per game - I strongly believe had this change not been implented It could of been a different story as there's no doubt people do to mental some weeks and spend thousands.

Though it just a luck game and you've got to be in it to win it as they say.
Thanks for the reply and the honesty. thumbup

You have proven that even when your intuition and sense of a win is not always correct and you are aware that these companies exist to make lots of money, so therefore the odds will be massively stacked against you even spending £500 chasing a £60k car, so why not quit whiles your ahead. The longer you play the closer your winnings pot will match the actual odds of success and you'll find yourself in debt and desperately chasing a win.

I understand the thrill of the risk, but there are better ways to achieve it without the inevitable cost. Starting your own business gives you the opportunity to be hugely successful with some risk, but on your own terms and not against a system that profits from your failure.

If your earning enough to be able to spunk £3k on united and £600 on a car lottery I think the best thing to do with the money would be to buy 2 BTL's with £25k deposit on each. That way they will provide some cash each month to top up your monthly income, then I'd lease a new car. At least that way your generating equity in something as well as having the car you want. Otherwise I can see in 5 years time you'll have spunked all this up a wall regambling it all. Realize how lucky you are and have been and that it aint going to happen again - so use it wisely as it's a massive boost to your early life. I'm 25 and this is what I would do now and would have done at 21.

Is it really an advert? I would be tempted to buy a ticket if I read about a fair few people only buying a few tickets and actually winning but if you're spending obscene amounts in the hope of a win then it isn't quite so appealing....or maybe I'm just getting old and tight.

i would say 100k people on ph, with maybe 5k playing. i would estimate as they give away £50k, selling 16k tickets to break even (3 per ticket) but i guess maybe 18-20k tickets sold.

so odds of a pher winning is good maybe 4 a year.

botb make around 370k profit of 3.5million revenue so do well.

If you look back through the winners history then most of the winners certainly don't seem to be the sort of people who were spending huges amounts to enter like the OP. They just buy a few tickets each week.

If it really is just an 'advert' then it's an odd one. Can't imagine BOTB themselves putting out such an extreme gambling angle.

I personally met a BOTB winner at a Jaguar Club Meet. There's also been a couple of long-term PH'ers who have won in the past.

When the OP won I suspect that BOTB merely asked him to tell everyone about it on PH. This he has done with vigour! So much so it reads like an advert. :-/

I play every week just for a few pounds and will continue to do so. Fingers crossed it'll me posting on here as a winner one day!

A bit of googling suggests they sell something like 4x the value of the car in tickets. That makes it a pretty crappy bet even compared to the lottery.

Im shocked at the negative responses calling it fake and that I'm actor and that BOTB asked me to post on here. They haven't on any occasion asked me to post on any social media channels whatsoever. I've been on here for sometime now with other posts so it's not as if I have created an account on here solely promoting my win..

The opening post is just merely promoting the Best Of The Best Competition for others to have a shot at to potentially win one of their dream cars and cash if they decide to play for that too. Not everyone knows about this competition and many probably wouldn't if they never past a airport where they have stands or watch a car video on YouTube which BOTB promotional videos sometimes appear from what I've seen.

This is real competition that literally anyone can win, you actually stand a better chance of winning on this then playing the lottery and only getting £25 here and then, which I've find out to be the case.

I believe quite a few companies actually have stakes in the company too, one of the airline/partners at gatwick and/or heathrow

It is just a luck game just like virtually all competitions out there, though in this case using a bit of skill can help tremoundsly too as its not as if the judges are blindfolded and pick a random spot on screen. I studied the picture for a few days and worked out a patch where I believed the projectory of the ball to be.

You don't have to spend big to win either, a friend's friend won a A45 Amg from a couple of pound bet.

The reason why I went all out of this competition was because I knew it would be tremoundsly close last week I haven't been confident on past pictures - taking this into account I went all out which thankfully it paid off and I was EXTREMLY lucky too because it was a very close call with a ton of people coming just a few pixels off from where I picked.

Just like any competition you enter, you've gotta be in it to win it. I was going to bring the custard out but i completely forgot about it becuase I never thought I'd win at I was going through insane mixed emotions through when I got a knock on the door and i knew what it was all about. I did mention hobnobs which is something a Facebook group I was part of said we would all would do if we won but it didn't make the video.

This is an authentic competition I was skeptical at first, not about the legitimacy of it but the thought of actually winning it - but here I am I've done it and others can do so too.

I don't have a major gambling habit either I never spend more than what I earn, I use surplus income made through other ventures in in such as my online websites which I am make money from. I do know when to stop and not go crazy, not as if I'm down the bookies everyday like a idiot thinking it's going to happen no matter what. I take calculated risks when ever I gamble.

Many thanks for the positive messages for those who left it.

Too many people who like to troll their pants off and a few that actively wear their rose tinted glasses.

Even if I was to show the bank statement to actually show I paid for the tickets, show them my account and so on they still wouldn't believe and it's just one massive conspiracy. 😂😂

Lots of people win cars via various competions, of my group of 5 close uni mates 2 of us have won cars. One a new fiesta the other a classic Porsche. Loads of people play / enter competions some one always wins, no conspiracy.
