My father loved to do amateur rallying, however had a major accident at Silverstone when testing the car.

My father's Healey 3000 after a crash at Silverstone in 1965

Car during rebuild with new WSM body

Then when rebodied by WSM (Wilson Spratt Motors) www.wsmcars.com

Finally as found a couple of years ago (currently undergoing full restoration at WSM cars)

That's very attractive

My Great Uncle used to have a Ford RS200.

Sadly I only properly realised after he passed away when I found an old letter and that photo he'd sent me as a kid when my dad had told him that I liked cars. I remember him having an Impreza and an Evo and thinking the electric folding mirrors were the coolest thing ever.

My dad told me he used to have an Aston DB5 when my dad was a teenager and took it back to Newport Pagnell from Surrey to be serviced. My dad's parents lived nearby to NPP at the time so when my dad was staying with my great uncle he decided kill 2 birds with 1 stone and take the DB5 to Aston at the same time as taking my dad home and let my dad drive it there. My dad was excited to say the least so my great uncle went to get the DB5 out of the garage and promptly reversed it straight into a tree stump. Understandably upset he put it back in the garage and they took the Granada instead and that was the closest my dad came to driving a DB5.
