Isn't it the plural of "head" not "red"? There is one redhead but many redheads?
It's backwards. Rossa = Red Testa = Head

The plural of Testa is Teste.

So maybe TesteRosse? biggrin

Any Italian speakers out there?
Red testes?

How Italian biggrin lol

This looking and sounding fantastic today! I hope the owner will forgive me for his appearance. I did complement his machine as I passed.

It's interesting that they commissioned RHD 288GTOs and F40s, but not Porsche 959s. I wonder if they asked but Porsche said "Nein".

The grey RHD F40 with the grey Testarossa interior was sold in the UK in the 1990s. I saw it for sale in Ferrari dealer showroom. Since been resprayed red and F40 interior fitted. Probably #91383. Might be back to grey again now!

It is back to grey now but stuck with the standard red seat interior, DK did the work and sold it.

They also had one of the RHD GTOs.

Can’t help think all the above would make a decent ‘Late Brake Show Barn Find’ video, Johnny hooking up a 12v battery and jump leads on to a RHD F 40…

Great shout - need to have HRH Prince Jefri in a pair of dirty trakkie bottoms helping move the cardboard boxes and garden chairs out of the way

That Black GTO was a real basket case, it got roughly refurbished in New Zealand before DK did it properly.

I owned the RHD F40 for a year or so when it was red. I agree it looks great in green but not that they didn’t go the whole hog and reinsert the green leather Testerossa style interior (probably a wise move)

I've just been reading this month's Octane. I'm feeling fairly set in my view that it is one of the finest pieces of automotive design. Such a balance of delicacy and power!

When I saw the grey RHD F40 for sale at that Ferrari dealer in the 1990s, the salesman seemed rather embarrassed by the RHD configuration, grey paintwork and grey Testarossa interior, when I asked him about it. The car was tucked away in the showroom against a far wall behind what would now be considered far more mundane Ferraris. Back then I think it was probably at the very lowest end of the historical F40 price spectrum.

Adam.
