Honestly, I'd feel like Michael Knight in it.

This looks clean AF! 20k miles?! Even though the little rust bits make it seem a little off, not bad!

Always liked a Miami Blue gti.

A good haggle might get it into thread budget.

£5995
Er, isn't this something of a bargain given the prices these have been going for?

Or is it only ultra low mileage ones that have been fetching figures in the teens...?

An elderly uncle of mine bought one of these new in 1988 (I think) on the grounds he liked the yellow fog lights and the seats.

He didn't have a clue what it was!

Absolutely identical to this.

Yeha, it's quite high in miles compared to the expensive minters.

No back of a car magazine in the 80s was complete without ads for tacky RGA bodykits and Backflash graphics biggrin

Reddit's /r/outrun would jizz over this aesthetic. It's the British equivalent.

A car so anonymous I had wiped its existence from my memory. Not much wantage, but maximum curiousity value.

I remember seeing one of these at a Motor Show in Manchester in about 1985 and thinking the interior was the coolest thing ever compared to my Dad's Sierra.

I'm older and wiser now yikes

There are four of them in one photo in that ad - by now that must be most of them, surely?
