In my mind an AMG GT Roadster is the perfect practical daily. R129 SL 55 AMG by Kleemann in the backdrop: 635 brake / 900 Nm.


Nothing beats a classic GT: 450 SLC yum. And you can keep your Ferrari.

Porsche 982 Cayman GTS. My honest opinion: I felt no need whatsoever to lust for a 911.


And it looks better too...

Brakes are OK for me but I can imagine trackday buffs will need the bigger discs. There's room.

On with the PCG show:

The PCG classic workshop is a museum depot in itself. All kinds of wonderful here: 550 Spyder replica, various 356, early 911 and two 901. It's a miracle we're even allowed to stroll around here.


Insanely beautiful early 356 coupe. A true dream garage car. In my eye this is perfection with a capital P. Sod big power!


Four litre RS anyone?


Let's have another look at the container find 550 Spyder: I can so imagine this to be a V8 eating thing.

Panamera GTS Sport Turismo:

In my eye the best proposition Porsche had to offer in 2019.


Wonderful power: 4 litre biturbo 485 hp / 620 Nm plant.


Fantastic color, spacious, practical and quick. This one does not feel too big.

1993 Volvo 850 2.3 10v automatic with just 139k kms on the clock!


Gorgeous MGB GT on wires.


Another mate, another car: Z4 looks the bizz and AMG GT like. I need to do a head-to-head to find out.

How much I love an R107 the Coupe version catches my drift. In my eye this is the sensible equivalent to a Longchamp or XJ classic.

Fantastic Mercedes-Benz AMG SL60 6 litre V8: what an absolute jewel of a car.


Another gem is this E50: perfection on wheels. Superb E-class with 5 litre AMG V8. There's just no way modern cars can match the pure class and feel of 90s cars. In my eye the era when the best cars ever were made.


In the 70s when I was a boy a car with hubcaps in the body colour was just sublime. Mercedes made every detail count. Just look at it. Glorious.


And the car that goes along with it. I believe a W114 250. Back in the day the worker drove a 4-pot, the manager a straight 6 and the boss a V8.
