Looks there was a car in the space when the Crurz abandoned his car in an overflowing Duthie Park car park, cars abandoned in the grass a usual, (means driving over a fairly high park as well), but the car obviously got out fortunately.

Just so selfish.
Send key setting, over.

Exactly.
I shall have to pass on that one. I am sure you understand it.
I didn’t want to appear like I didn’t know what he was on about. Not just me then

A two for one. This layby is the "road" that joins the car parks. You'll notice that there are plenty of parking places in the *actual* car park. Even however if you consider it a valid place to park (and maybe the owners needed tarmac rather than gravel)...It's st parking!

(there was a third car parked in between them just as badly but the owners were walking back as I was lining up to take a photo and decided looking at them that discretion was the better part of valor!)

Lets just park in the centre of the road...but don't worry, we'll leave our "park anywhere lights" on.

For clarity, this is at the end of the dual carriageway, he's parked in the central reservation.

Isn't that the Fiesta 'Marie Celeste' special edition - found adrift, no signs of life?

This throbber blocked the pavement all day Saturday and Sunday whilst presumably working on the refurb
of the fancy car dealer showroom .

Yes .pedestrians can walk in the layby lane that the car should be in ,but why should they ?

I know its wrong to damage peoples property but but but.. when is enough enough? On my school run there are builders blocking a pavement with their van and one of those daft truck/utility vehicles with words like "warrior" (wker) and raptor down the side, so all the parents and prams and dogs out for the walkies to school have to squeeze alongside. Pretty sure they do it deliberately as the road is plenty wide enough. Can't get a picture, under strict instructions from the wife not to get cross with traffic any more or I can't come on the school walk. biggrin

What is the intended purpose of that "layby lane"? Is it actually there for people to park in? If so, that makes Audi pavement blocker man even more idiotic.

People visiting the dealer used to be able to park there , until those double yellows went down , except for the dropped kerb

bits that the TT is on .
Now the dealer has expanded they have an off street car park , accessible only in office hours .

Rarely get a parking warden around though , apart from ones in cars or vans .

Unlikely as it's a Toyota Yaris.

It could have run out of fuel though......

It's an utterly odd place to leave it if you had broken down or run out of fuel. If you look immediately behind it there is a car park, surely if you were running out of fuel you'd turn in there rather than just abandon in the middle of the carriageway. Even if they were doing a U-turn round the end of the reservation it's the wrong position.

The only possible "breakdown/out of fuel situation" I can think of is if they'd come from that car park, pulled out to turn right and it died just as they pulled out. Even then it's suspiciously well "parked", I'd have expected it to be more abandoned if broken down rather than "neatly" against the curb!
