Yesterday, I was in a waitrose carpark, only space I could find was very tight, especially with my Astra GTC. Doors are long.

I reversed in next to 2 cars that had driven in forward.

I said to my wife. Wait, I'll hold your door so it doesn't bash against the other car.

As I stood, holding the door, the back of my hand against the door handle of the mondeo next to us, the driver got in without a word, started the engine and started moving off.

Anyone else would surely have said "Wait a moment, I'll make a bit more space for you"

So not bad parking, just odd.

I did note that with the door fully open, it took up 60% of the space he'd just left. If ever there was a car where "Lambo" doors would be more practical it's the astra GTC. Even if it would make you look like a dick.

M & S carpark.....it always is isn't it?

Careful there, I was vilified for posting pictures of poorly parked cars in an M&S car park, it's the reason I stopped posting on this thread.
I look at that and I see a car that could easily park inside the lines, even though it is slightly larger than average.

People do that exact thing every day without any problems entering or existing their , so I wonder what their made up excuse of choice is?

Perhaps they are overweight, or just have a little man complex.
Exactly, just get it between the lines

It's unlikely someone is going to park in the next space so close that either car can't open their doors

Parking like this just shows complete disdain for other drivers

I've seen a few signs recently in car parks stating that if cars are not parked within the space they will be fined, need a few in M & S carparks
Also agree.

The only time my car has been damaged was when using the space next to one of these morons who parked over the line.

Apparently I showed up his lack of manhood by using what was the last space in the car park.

He ended up paying as nobody likes a and he was seen keying my car.

Well that's cleared that up then. If you're going to have a go at trotting out a tired old trope then at least have the decency to translate it first so the rest of the world can understand.

Yes, we can all read that - nice one brains - but that has shag all do with your comment which you have utterly failed to explain.

Thread's yours mate, truly not interested in pursuing a one-way conversation with someone who's having a conversation with himself.

Maybe you are confused, I didn't post the original photo...but the comment attached to that post is crystal clear, to me at least; that poster often sees poorly parked cars in a Mark's & Spencer car park. Which given the thread title shouldn't be too much of a leap smile

BUMBO or whatever the hell his plate is supposed to spell, was shopping at M&S Hedge End over the weekend, but the silly sausage forgot his disabled badge. I bet he was embarrassed…

Not having a go, just interested why you didn't let the wife out before you parked up?

It is something we have always done, if the space is tight, the wife gets out, then I park up.

Some disabilities are invisible. As are some blue badges.

Some excuses are obvious. As are some over used smokescreens.

Does a Lambo dealer have a sales person who deals with the Motability Scheme? smile

Large swathes of the population seem unwilling to engage in any sort of communication with people they don't know. Some don't even seem to acknowledge those other humans exist. It predates COVID, hell it predates the 21st century, it's not a big city thing, it's not a fear of stabbing.

I'm not suggesting everyone should stroll through the streets of London greeting every fellow human, but it's surprising how many people simply don't register fellow humans.

So, I suspect you simply encountered someone like that.
