That's largely due to a lot of the benefits being indirect or less tangible. As someone who supported remain from.a purely ideological position there was a huge amount of statistical FUD from both sides, however it's telling that for at least 18 months now, probably longer, there's been clear concession by brexiteers that there would be negative economic implications come what may in the short to medium term which is "worth is" for the gain in sovereignty etc.Every commentator seemed to have their thumb on the scales one way or the other.
