Is Indapendentlee related to Iain Lee?

Is he a friend of Yasser and can he do a Pradeep?

I don't think you should be given any Leeway at all, independent should not pay half the bill.

I haven't 'got' this thread yet.

I dont seem to be in the correct groove, so to speak.

Can anyone tell me what has actually happened here? Or is the whole thing not real? Please advise.

Option 1: OP bought a Focus RS from someone called Lee without seeing it and without doing any research into potential problems. Problem occurred, Ford told him to do one. OP went back to Lee who then threatened to bury him so crawled back into his shell and came on here instead. Turns out the RS is modified (which the OP knew about when he bought a car without doing any research about it) which is why Ford quite rightly won't honour the warranty.

Option 2: its the school holidays

No he bought it off Scotty,

Lee ( Male or Female unknown ) is the independent person who is being asked to pay half the bill.

And someones kids have been kidnapped or sold to foot some of the bill.

Now, did you buy the car via eBay or a private sale off an individual?? If the former then you have some recourse via eBay/PayPal, however given you've i don't think ever mentioned eBay i'll assume they have nothing to do with this & thus their opinion counts for fk all.

Sold as seen i'm afraid is just that & it's a case of buyer beware, which you clearly were not. If the seller has actually lied to you & you can prove this, then you have part of a foot to stand on, but it appears that never happened & you've bought a modified car, that you knew was modified & since purchasing it you've blown it up.

If you'd read the 3rd & 4th lines of the link you've quoted, you'd see where your problem lies. I've pasted them below for claritysmile

'Sold as seen' is innapropriate unless youve visually inspected the item which is unlikely, even then it only have moral and pehaps ethical standing, not legal. Many people put this on reciepts when they sell something unaware that it means absolutley nothing.

Edited to add the above from your link & having now read the article, it's NOT been written by eBay & is purely a post from someone who appears to have been had over & given the spelling, lets hope IANAL.

The key point is the car was sold as seen & you happily bought it, no distance selling involved & the car it appears was as described when you drove away, however at some point later it detonated & you now think that's the sellers faultsmile
