Breakdown cover for 14 days in Europe
Discussion
Planning a 14 day road trip either in my 19 year old E38 7 series this year or possibly my 13 year old boring diesel to save on £££
Countries will be: France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland
Ideally I'd want a policy that gives you a courtesy car to continue the trip. As I'd hate for a breakdown to mean I had to come home early
Can anyone recommend a good breakdown cover?

Due to the age of the vehicles I'd suggest you consider joining ADAC.
For £100 you'll get a year's cover anywhere in Europe for yourself and partner.
The subject of ADAC always generates polarised opinions amongst PHers - the last discussion can be found here:

You can join ADAC on-line here https://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/adac-membership... or by speaking to their incredibly helpful staff at the Munich call centre. You'll need ADAC Plus membership to get cover all across Europe, for any age of vehicle.
If you Google one of the campervan forums (fora?) you can find an English translation of the membership handbook.

Simples. Just find a friendly ADAC member and offer them a free trip to Europe. If your break down, their policy will cover you and you will be whisked home first class (ADAC insist upon it) and your car will be repatriated sometime in 2025.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
